My fellow dweebs...

The more I sit and reflect on this episode, the less impressed I feel by it. The grandeur of the "Cornonation" was great, but I think some of the characters acted in ways that were not true to their... character (lol I didn't want to say character twice but I'm brain-farting on another word).

I don't want to say too much in this caption in case some of you are watching the show along with me for the first time, but we will discuss below. Maybe I'm being too nit-picky. But I think I am maybe starting to see why some SVTFOE fans aren't thrilled by season 4?

This episode was where I gained a little bit of respect for the High Commission again but lost all of it for Rhombulus. At least the others knew that what he did was entirely wrong, but it's really not cool that he let Globgor out just to frame Eclipsa and recrystallize her. On the other hand, yeah, I would say that Mina is definitely the most annoying and least likeable of the villains, and there's various reasons but I think one of them might just be that she's not as compelling as the others. With Ludo we found out that he was really estranged from his family, Toffee had the menacing aspect and wanted control of the Kingdom, Meteora wanted to re-establish the real royal line, but Mina is just an extremist against monsters, nothing more, nothing less. Thinking back on it, I think that season 4 would have actually been more compelling if they didn't have a villain, and it was just about the characters trying to complete their character arcs. After all, that's what most of this season has been about anyways so far
