My fellow dweebs...

The more I sit and reflect on this episode, the less impressed I feel by it. The grandeur of the "Cornonation" was great, but I think some of the characters acted in ways that were not true to their... character (lol I didn't want to say character twice but I'm brain-farting on another word). 

I don't want to say too much in this caption in case some of you are watching the show along with me for the first time, but we will discuss below. Maybe I'm being too nit-picky. But I think I am maybe starting to see why some SVTFOE fans aren't thrilled by season 4?

This was easily the most emotional episode for me; some tears here and there. Because I watch for the first time along with you it's killing me not to look ahead at this point, but I don't want to ruin the overall experience. I'm a little worried about how everything is going to turn out at this point, but I'm trying to stay cautiously optimistic.

So I think this episode gets some deserved criticism despite its obvious highlights. There's the pageantry and the music of the show which is all fine and good. It was entertaining with lots of great moments for most of the characters. When River tossed the boat and Tom just ate it smacking into the ground I laughed, hard. I seriously think they missed out when they didn't have STar drooling a bit over Marco in his Prince outfit which she definitely a fan of lol. But the episode for me really falls down on one point: Moon. We know that Rhombulus hates Eclipsa and her entire family, so it makes sense that he sort of tries to frame her for releasing Globgor. But the episode totally portrays Moon all wrong. SHE doesn't trust eclipsa either. She's said it time and time again, heck it's why she left Star to stay at the monster temple while she and River started a Yurt society in the woods. But here, she seems completely cool with Eclipsa and all the potential bad stuff that could happen. I'm not saying i needed her to conspire with Rhombulus, but having her at least voice an opinion based in her earlier characterization would be nice. It's one of the reasons season 4 is a bit weaker than 2 or 3 for me, though in my eye still better than 1 because I'm not in love with episodic storytelling where each entry has almost nothing to do with the previous one. Either way, it's still a pretty good episode and it has the upsides in the fact that it moves the plot forward and sets up some extremely interesting things that will be happening as early as the next episode so stay tuned! P.S. Can't wait for you to get to chapter 9 and 10 of Once and Future Queen, I put some serious work into those two chapters!
