Welcome to the start of our 'Beach Days Bag Making Series'!

We are so excited to launch the start of this wonderful series. Over the next five episodes you will join Kay as she takes you through her way of creating the perfect bag. Whilst Kay will be using the 'Beach Days Cross Stitch' on the front of her bag, you don't need to do this. You can substitute that piece with any piece of fabric.

Join Kay in this first instalment of the series as she:

  • 00:00 Introduction - Introduces you to the ‘Beach Days Bag’ making course
  • 02:06 What Materials do you Need?- A complete list of the materials needed can be found here https://www.patreon.com/posts/83584388
  • 07:43 Trimming Up your Cross Stitch - Shows you how to mark up the border and then trim your cross stitch piece
  • 09:51 Sewing Your Front Panel - Demonstrates how to sew together the front panel of your bag
  • 12:32 Adding the Second Patch - Shows you how to add additional patches to your front panel and shares with you how and when she irons the fabric
  • 16:41 Adding your Third Patch
  • 18:47 Finishing the Front Panel - Takes a look at her finished front piece on the front and back
  • 20:57 Attaching your Fusable Fleece - Talks you through how to trim your finished front piece and attach it to your fusable fleece
  • 24:03 Getting ready for Part Two - Lets you know what we'll be doing next

So excited to get started! I did not do the cross stitch. I am looking for the size of the cross stitch piece after it is trimmed so I can substitute another fabric there.

My mom found some really cute coordinating seaside-theme fabric at a thrift stote. . I'm using it for my bag. This is so fun!
