Giorno's stand can only negate direct attacks. Pucci's stand only affects everything else other than people so it doesn't get activated.

First anime i ever watched was Soul Eater, kinda ecci in some parts in the start but pretty cool/interesting throughout. Manga goes hard for that tho. Plus it has a little twin peaks reference which is cool.
