This show is so good and I'm so glad we got a happy episode this week, the blue balls were serious last week especially after back to back cliffhangers. I was not expecting a total heartbreak but I do feel sorry Kana, she got friend zoned so she's gotta play the long game.

i think the scene with Kana shows the difference between how Aqua see those two girls. Like for Kana he sees her as close friend and genui emotions where Akane is a working relationship and is useful to his revenge

I also liked how they had MEM's eyes light up at the end. They were always shuttered till then, as if nothing really excited her/ got to her.

I agree, it's high time for Ruby to shine 🙌 I appreciate how they introduce each idol through extensive side stories so that when they're all eventually in a group together you'll know and understand all of them super well.

Did anyone else notice how near the beginning of the episode when Kana walks to school and overhears the girls talking about shipping Aqua with Akane the colors were very dull and sort of clouded, and then the second she hears Aquas voice and sees him the colors get a lot more bright and vibrant? I only noticed it on the second time watching and it just blew me away how perfectly in sync that is with Kana's emotional state.

If you were into the lighting and composition of the nighttime scenes, have a look at Call of the Night. They really leaned into making nighttime colorful.

Im glad you enjoyed this episode! I was really happy Aqua chose the honest route since most times this doesnt happen and they end up just going with the lie making it so frustrating to watch. I went ahead and caught up to the manga and his character only gets better and better from here so Im so excited for next episode with how beautiful the anime brought the pages to life!
