wow unbelievable that your students dont believe in that stuff. I still believe in fantasies and magic. Ofcourse im an adult and i know the reality, but in my heart i believe in the excistence of magic etc and i love that i do. It makes me feel happy and hopefull. Maybe thats also why i love animation and fantasy series/movies. I love the song "A wish upon a star". Its so beautiful. The animation and voices/songs are so beautiful. You almost cant believe they were this good already in 1940. When you talked about your son fallng asleep with you at night and got emotional i almost had to cry to <3 YES! you should watch all the old Disney movies! I know Once Upon A Time came second on the series poll to watch list. Its based on Disney. So its really good that you watch them! Im so excited ! - Snowhite and the seven dwarfs / Bambi / Fantasia / Dumbo / Cinderella / Alice in wonderland / Robin hood / Peter Pan / Lady and the Tramp / Sleeping beauty / Jungle book / The Aristocats / The fox and the Hound / Pocahontas / The hunchback of the Notre Dam / 101 Dalmatians / Hercules / Tarzan. These are all the great and well known Disney animation movies untill the year 2000. I thought its easier for you if you have a list. If you're gonna do them without the polls xD. I love that you love this movie. These older Disney movies have so many good messages. Im looking forward for more! Sorry for the long comment >-<

A lot has changed in the 80 years since this was made, and the original story predates it by another 60 years. You talk about innocence being corrupted in children. I see it happening to persons of every age. What's better: being taught what to think and feel, or how to think critically and discover your true feelings? Yes, Dillon, a lot of messages are explored in fairy tales. Some seem alien to the 21st century mind. And you say you've "never heard that song before" when it became Disney's official theme song and appears at the start of all their films. lol
