Watchmen is a big story to fit into a 17 minute video – but hopefully we’ve captured the main ideas, while still keeping it accessible and easy to follow. The visuals are a bit different to the usual Alt Shift X style – let us know what you think! This video’s just for Patrons for the next ~24 hours.

The video focuses mostly on Watchmen’s story and characters. But a lot of what’s great about Watchmen is not the story, but how the story is told – we could do a whole video on how it uses visual motifs, obscure references, in-world documents, non-linear structure… Watchmen is about the medium of comics as much as it’s about superheroes. We could also talk about the 2009 movie… And if the upcoming TV show is any good, we could cover that too.

But the next Alt Shift X video will be the House Dayne video – it'll be done in ~mid October. Then we’ll probably do a His Dark Materials video, because that show starts in November. Then another ASOIAF vote, or maybe an Expanse video before The Expanse Season 4? Lots of possibilities.
