Westworld S2E07 update #3 (Patreon)

The video design is done! These giant mindmap-mosaics are way more labour intensive than conventional linear editing, but damn if it's not satisfying to see everything laid out like this.

We have another jab at Maeve this video – criticising her hypocrisy in controlling hosts while speaking of freedom. Hopefully it doesn't come off as too critical. But I think Maeve works best as a compassionate counterpoint to Dolores' brutality, so it sucks to have Maeve mercilessly compelling rando hosts to their deaths again. Sometimes Westworld's murder-boner undercuts the philosophical ideas that make it interesting.

Anyway, this is a good video. It makes sense of the plot, analyses its meaning, and explores some theories. It'll be done on Saturday, maybe sooner – keep an eye on the video-talk Discord for latest updates.
