Hi all, I don't know if Patreon notifies you of these things, but I have adjusted and added Patreon tiers as planned. Here's how the new setup works:

  • The $2 tier is now a general support tier—non-taxed, no rewards.
  • The new $3 tier is for early video access.
  • The $6 tier was going to be phased out in favor of a slightly pricier tier with more stuff, but I ultimately felt that seemed greedy. Instead, the $6 tier will remain $6, and the new podcast and additional PDFs (both of which will debut this weekend) have been added at that price level.
  • The $16 tier that was formerly for B&W print books still exists, but since books no longer come out in B&W, that tier is now a limited livestream topic request tier. I don't anticipate it lasting long, but I wanted to be sure to keep the tier on hand so I can fulfill the books that are due from last year.
  • The $28 book tier is unchanged.
  • A new $36 book tier is for deluxe editions of upcoming books. If you have seen Bitmap Books' deluxe editions, think along those line. These books will retail for a healthy chunk of change, which is why that tier is a bit up there.
  • The request tier at $50 is unchanged.

I'm sure there will be questions. I'm also sure I goofed something up along the way here! Patreon makes things a little difficult. Please let me know if you have any concerns, and look forward to the first of the new bonus material soon!

Will the books also be available to purchase separately outside of Patreon?

Just to check, the book lover tier includes access to the livestream reward, right?

Jeremy Parish

No, that would be impossible to manage. I don’t intend to keep the podcast tier in the long term unless everyone signed up there insists. I’ll find some other solution to funnel requests at some point.

Jeremy Parish

Yes, always. The deluxe books will be pretty pricey, though. Like I said, look to Bitmap Books for a reference model. Their system is pretty solid.
