Oh my goodness. Venam. How many GYMS can this girl have??????
Anyway, Venam has been struggling to be balanced properly because Poison is kind of a devastating type to have so early on, and her field especially makes that worse.

As a result Venam has been in a state of being either too hard or too easy. Grass types that aren't Ivysaur also just. Can't do anything.

I tried to find very old screenshots of Venam's very first gym, but unfortunately, I couldn't find it. I think the very first iterations of Rejuv are lost to the sands of time. :[. I can still talk about it though!

Edit: Nvm, a friend of mine literally has v2 and the old gym. Pictures ahoy.

Gym Iteration #1:
- This gym involved a waterfall spilling onto the floor and you had to activate three switches in the right order for the toxic falls to dissipate, showing a way to Venam's room.  1/10
(Fun fact, even though this gym was removed, its puzzle is technically still in the game! It's the generator thing you do with Ren in the sewers.)

Gym Iteration #2:
Okay, I have pictures of this one!

This one still had the waterfall, but it had the "activate two switches and activate the warp" puzzle. Overall this wasn't that bad, but it just had no real direction at all. It didn't make much sense at all lol. 3/10

Gym Iteration #3:
We all know this one. This is the current public iteration of the gym that involves mixing poisons to produce different colors. I kinda liked this gym but a lot of people had trouble coming up with the correct colors and tbf, perhaps it's a little too involved for the first gym? Overall 7/10 gym.

Gym iteration #4:
The newest, current private iteration of Venam's Gym. This gym is pretty different from the rest of them. It still has the "two switch then warp" puzzle, but I feel like that's all that's necessary for the first gym.

Watch out Amber, there's an (old) new club in town!

It's more like a concert hall akin to Roxie's than a club, but details.

The gym has a new mechanic called prank tiles (They're similar to those tiles from the rocket base from Mahogany Town). Each tile has a unique effect:
Pokeball Tile: Wild Poison-type encounter
Music Note: Plays a sound effect
Square Tile: Warps you somewhere
Poison Tile: Damages your entire party slightly.
Arrow Tiles: Pushes you in the direction of the arrow.

The gym overall is pretty short though. Shorter than its predecessors, and tbh that's fine. Quality over quantity. However, the main reason Venam's gotten a gym change is because her field changed (permanently)!

So what field does she use? Well... Don't tell anyone, but it's actually a brand new field entirely! I think it's pretty obvious what it is, but I'm going to save details on this for later.

But that's all for tonight! I hope you all had a wonderful week!

Oh! I also have been sending out more progress of custom sprites to a few Red Diamond Tier-ers. My goal is to finish up most of them through October - November. Just finished a set last night~ If you haven't gotten a message recently, I'll get in touch with you soon!
