And the last pic this month, we have Hachishakusama.

Hachishakusama, also known as Takaonna, or Takanyobo, is a kind of witch associated with Kuchisake-Onna and other shylock witches.

Hachishakusama are nephilim witches whom have secluded themselves and taught themselves the art of magic through self mutilation or sadistic practice. Though they practice witchcraft, they do not possess any extremely powerful or amazing spells by spellcasting standards, and tend to utilize more subtle and dangerous magics to allow them to moves stealthily and silently, or appear to only select people in crowded areas, sometimes even focusing on disease or misfortune hexes to cast upon those whom they hunt, or the ability to mimic voices perfectly. They are known to mutter the word "Po" repeatedly in a deep and guttural voice, and the incantation can drive those who hear it to extreme levels of fear, therefore dropping their ability to fight or make proper decisions. They are masters of the evil eye, and it's believed that anyone she sets her sights on will die in several days.

Craving the flesh of humans as Nephilim often do, they prefer the flesh of children, as the souls and bones of a child are useful in their blood rituals as well. Some however are not killed but are taken and turned into other witches or followers, or taken to other Nephilim.

An old legend tells the tale of one such Hachishakusama.

"It is said that the takanyobo was once the wife of Kijishi, a woodcutter of Kizaku village. She was a strong woman who would go and cut wood with him in the forest. He thought he was a lucky man to have such a wife, but she was actually a yokai. Kijishi was a successful woodcutter, and he always kept a servant. But the servant wouldn’t stay long. Over a year, Kijishi went through 30 servants. It was only when his own baby also disappeared that Kijishi discovered the truth at last—his yokai wife had eaten them all.

Kijishi confronted his wife and threw her into a well. He thought to let her die down there, but to Kijishi’s surprise she stretched the bottom half of her body right to the top of the well, then clambered out and made her escape into the night."

In more modern times, the legend has continued with an urban legend of the creature appearing recently.

They occasionally work with other covens, and if they do it's usually with a Kuchisake-Onna or a Shylock.
