Now wait four months to see the resolution! Luckily it had already been renewed, so at least we didn't have to worry about that part of it. But ah, the "joys" of watching live. 😁

This is probably my favourite episode of all Stargate. Though I really don't like how Sam went, I know it was an ambush, but why didn't they immediately jump into hyperspace?

Retro Tom

This was a great episode, but It bugs me at the end. It feels like the natural conclusion to the episode was Sheppard getting back & saying he knows where Teyla is. It should've ended there & the rest should've been the opening teaser of the premiere right before the title sequence

Rodney is a legend. He watches all his friends die, keeps his composure, works on the same thing for 25 years, and then saves potentially 2 galaxies. Absolute legend.

Imagine waiting four months expecting a sixth :( . My first strong memory of using a computer is searching up stargate season 6 and why it hadn't come out yet.

Geonn Cannon

Oof the worst. BUT! You may not be entirely out of luck. My fellow Stargate novelists have you covered. The Atlantis Legacy series of books are one of the few releases that have continuity between them, because they were pitched as a virtual sixth season of the show. All officially approved by MGM so, even if it's not exactly how another year (or two) of the show might have gone (completely different creative team, obviously) it's better than nothing.

The dark timeline...AKA what happens when our heroes no longer have plot armour.

Noah ( J Holᐰ)

I loved that series! I remember discovering them and being like 'I can read Stargate?!' Obs no spoilers but I thought they did a good job keeping the feel of the show and were also able to do some things that would've just been harder to do on film. I also liked the Mirror Mirror SGA book a lot.

Geonn Cannon

That's the real fun of writing the novels. No worry about cost for effects and whatnot, so you can do really fun stuff. I love the Legacy series, and the authors are the reason I got to write for the SG-1 books (they were friends of mine, so when the publisher was looking for new blood they said, "We know a guy" 😁)

Noah ( J Holᐰ)

Thats sick! I also read a couple of the SG-1 books (I think 1 and 10). I'm not much of a writter but I can imagine how fun it would've been getting to work with characters and a universe you already love like SG. It was definitely nice to be able to get some more stargate content through reading, so for what its worth, thank you to you and the other writters that kept it going for the fans.

Geonn Cannon

I wrote 24 and 31! And it can be amazing, but also stressful. And it's a huge honor knowing that I'm responsible for new SG-1 adventures when I was the one waiting for them all those years ago.

Vladyslav Serdiuk

Is SG: Universe planned to be watched?

Vladyslav Serdiuk

You will be shocked at how different it is in comparison with sg1 and sga. Feels like it was filmed by another studio.

OK, finally got around to watching again without being limited to a phone screen. I think every scifi show should have one of these "dark future" episodes. Some execute it well, others not as much. Some limit the damage to our heroes, others are down right apocalyptic. Having Sheppard as potentially the last human alive, and 48,000 years ahead, is pretty extreme. Reminds me in some ways of The Time Machine. It's an interesting discussion to wonder what it would have been like to extend this storyline to 6 or 10 episodes. A similar discussion was had over an excellent episode of Star Trek Voyager with similar subject matter. I guess they figure if you're gonna hit the reset button, then all those episodes essentially get erased and it feels like a waste. I'd be down for it though. Almost seemed a little too unbelievable that Michael was able to so thoroughly take over a whole galaxy in just a year. Also with the Milky Way relatively safe and with a few allies to call on for assistance(plus the Antarctica platform and 302s), I feel like they wouldn't let an opportunity slip by to secure Pegasus once and for all. With the wraith weakened from infighting and starvation, a wolf pack of 3 BC-304s could have strategically targeted Michael's forces to ensure their victory wasn't decisive and then mopped up. Phoenix could be finished on a more reasonable timeline and then be the supply ship, while Odyssey, Apollo, and Daedalus get to work. If 1 ship was that effective, 3 would have been damn near unstoppable. I also like the twist that you almost expect the episode to end either on Sheppard being frozen or on getting back, but then it drags on and they hit us with that crazy cliffhanger. Also Ronon and Todd going out together, badass moment
