These whole mass mind control stories are honestly terrifying. It's like Purple Man/Kilgrave from Jessica Jones, but she just has to get on TV, which just requires walking down to a TV station and asking, and she can turn millions at once. Also forgot that a very young Sam Witwer was in this. Whenever they have a scene set up so that it keeps you from seeing, in this case, the side of someone's face, you just know some disturbing reveal is about to happen. Well, whatever Jasmine is, there's clearly something more sinister than hiding a really bad skin condition that seems to be contagious. This definitely falls into the "too good to be true" category.

Superplin

I actually really love this arc. This was the first season of Angel that I watched (kind of an odd place to come into the story, admittedly), but I find the philosophical points very crunchy and interesting, and it can also be read through a surprisingly contemporary political discursive lens that makes it perhaps even more relevant today than it was at the time.
