Probably in my top three Atlantis episodes.

Timothy Nikiforovs

"KOOOOLLLLYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" He said with feigned surprise.

VersaLife

Absolute banger of an episode.

Lady Beyond The Wall

Love this one for many reasons. For one: KOOOOLLLYYYAAAAAAAAA! I actually saw Robert Davi on a podcast recently and my jaw dropped because it was unexpected. He's doing a.. controversial movie. Directing and acting. He's lost Hollywood friends because of it (which tbh, who gives a shit, most of them are crazy anyway and he doesn't care anyway apparently). Honestly I can't wait to see it. 😂 Also: I do understand why Weir was unwilling to make the trade. Not only did John not want her to, but if you give in once to that sort of thing, people will think you always will. And if you don't give in to them, you might find yourself with an even stronger ally in the Genii, sadly, even if someone dies for it. Third: We get a nice Wraith friend. Well, maybe. All bets are off apparently if they meet again, so maybe not. Either way, it was nice seeing them work together and I liked that particular Wraith's personality. And lastly, this whole Wraith life-restoring thing could have been created just for this episode, but either way, it helps it make sense regarding the Wraith worshipers we know exist that we saw in season 2. It makes sense that there'd be people who help them, or worship them, if they can do things like keep them alive longer, heal wounds, etc.

One of my favorite episodes

Timothy Nikiforovs

Especially with KOOOLLLYYYAAAAA!!!!!, you just know he'd be a perpetual thorn in Atlantis' side if he got control of the genii, so as hard as it was, she did make the right decision.

John C

Good Ep. But you can never make this trade. It becomes a button to push anytime someone wants something from you. Never give in to terrorism. Also, it would flip a cooperative Genii Ally into a Genii Adversary with all the same nuclear/military, spy, and tech resources. You're going to hand those resources over to Kolya to use at his whim? F that and Him.

Lady Beyond The Wall

Thanks for editing your comment! :) Basically, just pretend like you've seen nothing past the episode he's watched. That's how I do my comments anyway, as if I'm watching it for the first time with him. Helps keep any spoilers I might accidentally say at bay. 💕 Although sometimes I do say I'm looking forward to the next episode because I personally really like it or something, or like you edited yours to say, that it's a favorite or not favorite episode of yours. That's all good.

Lady Beyond The Wall

Yeah exactly. At least the current leader has shown a willingness to work with them without screwing them over. KOOOOLLLLLLYYYAAAAA!!!! would have just gotten dozens and dozens of people killed by an iris again like...the next day.

Lady Beyond The Wall

An opportunity to heal our wounds by leaving out one word and you just gotta be you instead. :) I actually started liking you quite a bit lately. It's a shame.

Thomas Menard

This episode introduces my favorite character ill let you take a guess on who!

Ba'alWhale34

Fun fact the US government negotiates with terrorists all the time usually using the Canadian and Swiss embassy.

Lady Beyond The Wall

Hey - I appreciate your edit. Really. 💕 And thank you for the compliment. But in the spirit of friendship.. I'm still totally gonna try and take your "LET'S F'Ning GOOOO!!!!" at least once! Don't know if I can do it, but I'll try. 😂 I'm always like a few minutes late!

John C

Wouldn't be the first dumb thing the US government did

James Yancy

Yep, I saw it too. I was pleasantly surprised to see him on Tim's show. I definitely want to see his movie.

Lady Beyond The Wall

I'm glad someone else saw that podcast and his interview! Always hesitant to bring anything up that could make people be a jerk to me based on political stuff and not how I actually talk to them/treat them, but it was just a crazy coincidence I had to bring up, lol. I liked his style on the podcast too. He looked great. But not in a Hollywood-y way, more like a "This guy looks like he'd be a really fashionable cab driver" kind of way. 😂 Either way, he was funny; got to hear about how he feels about everything going on in our country/the world today, etc. And I REALLY can't wait to see that movie. Soooo many people are gonna be pissy about it, but 🤷🏻‍♀️. I like his "I really don't give a fuck" attitude about it and that he's not scared to direct and act in something like that, even if he lost "friends" over it, who obviously weren't real friends anyway.

Lady Beyond The Wall

Nor would it be the first time the US government has lied, lol. Not just about "not negotiating with terrorists" but about.. A LOT of shit.

James Yancy

Yeah, unfortunately the Entertainment industry is dominated by a Cult of Ideology. If you speak against it even in minor ways they try to shut you down, Gina Carano of Mandalorian fame case in point (she's in the movie by the way). I'm glad that there are those breaking away from the mainstream industry to create new alternative production companies not beholden to the Hollywood Cult. There are many great people in the Entertainment industry that survive just by keeping their mouths shut and their heads down. Unfortunately, that is also harmful for society at large. But by creating alternative production companies it will hopefully give a sanctuary to such people to not live under the Cult. I really salute Robert Davi's courage. We need more people like him.

Teth

There's controversial and then there's batshit crazy.

Avlin Ærbødig

i feel the need to say that i completely disagree with the message of that movie, but i still support the freedom of speach and the freedom to produce any kind of art, nomatter the message! essential for an intellectual and free society

Avlin Ærbødig

one of my favourite episodes. it might be somewhat predicatable, as stated, but i enjoy seeing good old Christopher Heyerdahl taking the stage once more!

The Stargate universe provides a justification to many of those lies

ChaosVesperia

Giving in to Kolya's demands means you'd be betraying an ally of yours, and handing him over to Kolya. With that, Kolya would take over the Genii and then they'd not be allies anymore, because Kolya would know you gave up Ladon to him, showing you're perfectly willing to betray your allies. Shooting yourselves in the foot there.
