Well I WAS about to play a video game buuuuut...Fucking YAY! Glad I checked here first! Can't wait to see your reaction to Daniel and co finally getting to go to Atlantis! Also! Considering you were stonefaced during the "Knights who say Ni" thing, if you haven't seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, you NEED to add that and Life of Brian to your "Movies I need to watch list"! Don't know if you noticed either, but the Doctor who had a heart attack from popping too many Adderalls was the same actor whose wife died and he was trying to go back in time to see her again in Window of Opportunity (I think was the name of the ep). And I dunno about anyone else, but for its age, the cgi on little Joe Bob Kermit Junior looks actually really good. It was so cute. I wanted him. Also I just love how much Daniel has affected Vala. Her speech about someone actually believing in her was very sweet. I ship those two so hard, and well, I'm not usually a "shipper". 😂 Btw: Ben Browder doin' more slingshots! aaand my comment was deleted somehow. Maybe I shouldn't edit comments as I'm watching 😂 Hopefully this one sticks cause I'm done now.

Well my computer's a bit old at this point, was a great gaming laptop when I got it like 5 years ago (a pretty Predator), but I can't really play anything new without being on the lowest quality. 😂 Shit won't even let me upgrade to Windows 11 because it's too old! So mostly I've been playing Minecraft, Borderlands 3, Papers Please (love those kinds of games) and I've been spending a lot of time playing fuckin'.. House Flipper. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It's relaxing! My favorite games are Fallout 3 and Borderlands (all of them) though. I have multiple Fallout-related tattoos.

Fallout 3 is great, I sunk a lot of hours into that one. It's almost sacrilege to say, but I actually preferred the story and atmosphere of 3 to New Vegas. Recently I've been getting back to this post apocalyptic city builder called Surviving the Aftermath. I rage quit a few times before because your colonists had really stupid AI and they'd do things like go and hang out around food storage if they were hungry even though the only food was in the fields and needed to be harvested, but instead of working and getting food, they'd just starve to death. Of if they got sick or injured, they'd go to bed and die in their sleep even though you had medical tents staffed and ready to help them. You'd get one disaster and half your colony dies due to sheer stupidity. Fortunately they fixed the AI, so it's actually fun to play. And if you like those flipper type games, maybe keep an eye on WW2 Rebuilder. That one caught my eye. Also Empyrion is really fun if you're into building. It's like Minecraft's less blocky sci fi cousin. You can build ships, ground bases, space stations, hover vessels, and go explore the galaxy.

It is so not sacrilege to say to me, I absolutely prefer the story and atmosphere of 3 to New Vegas too. Don't get me wrong - I don't not like New Vegas. But.. Fallout 3 will always be my favorite. There's something about it that's comforting to me. Some of the places in some of the Borderlands games remind me of it. And oh man, thanks for the suggestions! I'm actually going to write all of those down and take a look at em. Every one you listed sounds interesting to me. I used to really be into multiplayer games.. like I played Runescape for a loooong time, a long time ago. From 2000-2010? Maybe a little longer even. I started playing maybe a year or two before they switched from oldschool blocky Runescape to the newer version. And I played Team Fortress 2 A LOT with a group of friends I met through a Runescape clan, lol. I always played the Pyro and I was really good at it! Had a great team. But we all sort of drifted apart. So I don't really play multiplayer games anymore. Oh! And I love Diablo games. Except for whatever the hell they're doing now with their mobile stuff and their stupid micro-transactions. I refuse to participate in that kind of thing. I hope they get back to a nice normal Diablo game again. Seriously though - thanks for the suggestions!

I never played TF2, but I loved all the "meet the _____" segments they did. "Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe.....Maybe.........I've yet to meet one that can outsmart bullet!"

Dakota James Stanton

This is my favorite Jackson rant in the show. The only better one is the one Teal'c gives you know who in the movie.

When I got a chance to write the Stargate novels, I was SO EXCITED to write for Vala. She was so much fun. (I need to figure out a way to get Faily some signed copies of my books now that they're not spoilery... Vala was on the covers of both, so I was very worried first about spoiling him for Claudia Black appearing in the first place, and then about her coming back. Now that the cat is out of the bag and the show is almost over, he may be looking to keep the story going! It's just a matter of shipping costs to Canada, oy...)

Stargate is the best sifi franchise

Let's also take the time to acknowledge Matthew walker's appearances here. I'm not sure if you caught it but the episode where Weir found an alternate version of herself in season 1 Atlantis. The alternate version went back in time and the guy in charge was Merlin, played by the same actor. I love that he was so adamant about not interfering with time and such but then, as this episode speaks of, says he came back to create something to stop the Ori. It's such a small character development but I find it amazing lol

Timothy Nikiforovs

OK, finally have time to write out my thoughts for these episodes. Morpheus is a pretty decent entry. Like The Scourge, it's a very horror centered episode, but I think more creative than The Scourge. Knowing you'll die if you fall asleep, especially after they figured out that this parasite will essentially grow in your brain. I mean swarms of burrowing, flesh eating bugs are bad, but this is pretty insidious. Also it's a very creepy atmosphere in that village overall, with the constant grey, overcast surroundings. If memory serves the bit Mitchell was talking about where he's telling Teal'c to go after he already left was either a deleted scene or in the script and cut for time. Would have been funny though. Also, the tortoise question Vala is talking about is a Blade Runner reference, as that question appears in the Voight-Kampff test that's supposed to determine is someone is a human or replicant. It's also a cool little tidbit that Carter is asking Teal'c what's wrong followed by him noting that there are no birds. 9 years earlier in The First Commandment, their roles were reversed. As to The Pegasus Project, well it's just simply one of SG1s best episodes. One of the better scifi crossover eps in my opinion. I will say though, not the biggest fan of Sheppard and Mitchell bullying McKay. I mean, the guy can be annoying, but he gets results, and using an allergy(even one that may be in his head) against him is a low blow. Also if Teal'c weren't parked in that Al'Kesh the whole episode, it would have been fun to have some interaction between him and Ronon. Oh well. The whole sequence where they lure the Wraith ship around the black hole and use nuking it to jump the wormhole to the supergate is brilliant. The shot of the Ori ship getting cut in half by the vortex is simply beautiful. A nice little touch I like is the slow rendition of the SG1 theme when Teal'c says they have achieved a great victory. We used to hear that a LOT in early SG1 when they got a win, and it's been a while. It's fitting since the slaughter at P3Y-229 really served as a reset to make Earth the underdogs again like they were back in the early seasons, and victories were hard to come by. This is the first big win since that battle, so it's a nice call back to earlier seasons. And that hive makes 10 destroyed so far, which is a very significant chunk of the 60 or so they estimated early in the show. It also really drives home how much of a threat the ori are that they can cause some dissent in the ascended ranks, between Merlin and Morgan. Even Anubis getting ready to wipe out all life in the milky way didn't faze them. Daniel could barely even get Oma to intervene. I really do love Daniel's impassioned plea for them to get involved. And he's right, they really do need to. If they can convert enough people in our galaxy to overpower the ascended ancients, then nothing will stop them. They'd be able to roll right one the wraith(as we saw with Chaya taking out wraith cruisers), convert Pegasus, and go from galaxy to galaxy converting new worshippers. It's almost one of those "dark future alternate timeline" episodes you wish they'd made.

Lady Beyond The Wall

I'm pretty sure that if I was there in the Morpheus episode, I would have straight up died, lol. I get panic attacks and the thought of a parasite in my brain would have 1000% caused one. And on top of that, if I was taking any of the adderall or tons of the caffeine pills to try and stay awake, it would have been so, so much worse. I might have legitimately had a heart attack like that Doctor. So yeah - that brain parasite that slowly gets bigger inside your head would have been absolutely terrifying. They probably would have had to shoot me to stop me from running to the gate to try and get home for immediate brain surgery or something. 😂 And that's also why I probably wouldn't ever be allowed to go off-world. :(

Hey Timothy, just a heads up - Fail posted his Allegiance reaction on YT this week which starts with his unboxing your badass chappa'ai, and quite a few commenters are asking for links to order their own.

Timothy Nikiforovs

Actually, scratch that. Seems CraftyPics isn't in business anymore. Too bad. They had cool stuff for sale.

Lady Beyond The Wall

Okay, since SG-1 ended on episode 3 and SGA ended on episode 2, what are we getting this week? SGA 3/4? Or are we gonna be one episode ahead on SG-1 for a bit? 🤔 Or maybe I'm an idiot and am counting things wrong, which is possible!

failwhale34

We’ll be split until the end 🥲

dextro-amphetamine, modafnil and caffeinepills.. i dont know why they would waste their time with the modafnil which is ineffective and the caffeine which would lead to heartfailiure at significant dosages. The amphetamine however would easily allow a person to stay awake for a week without much problems, as long as they got enough electrolytes and fluids.... at the slight risk of paranoia, irritation, psychosis ect... (which would be quite the interesting situation for a bunch of heavily armed USAF officers in a hostile environment!

Avlin Ærbødig

carter did say something about the increase in melatonin and seretonin being a bad mix with the epinephrine. i donno about melatonin in huge doses. interesting medical situation

super-kawoosh-i-fying the ori-ship so enjoyable!
