Greetings, Patrons.

As I've alluded to in previous posts, there's been a lot of IRL challenges over the last year. Six months ago, I helped my mother move from the east coast to Portland, Oregon due to health issues. This situation has gotten worse and we need to move her again at the end of the month, and this is going to take up a lot of my spare time and energy.

I intend to complete the Devourer article this month, as chosen in the poll. The question is what to do for Threshold. While I could potentially find the time for the session itself, I don't have the focus to create an adventure on top of all of the other things I'm juggling. This leaves a few options.

  • I run a short session with little prep—something largely improvised.
  • We push the session from the end of February to mid-March
  • Instead of running a session this month, I do a live Q&A stream for Patrons.
  • Instead of running a session this month, I record a video talk on some aspect of game design—basic worldbuilding, Eberron session zero, adventure hooks, etc. If this is chosen I'd do a second poll to determine the topic.

Your support is the only thing that allows me to spend time on Threshold and the website, so I want to make sure you're happy with the outcome. I will say that—most likely in March—I want to take a broader look at the site, series, and Patreon and to discuss both what you all want to see and the most effective way for me to devote my time, so this is a first step toward that.

So: What would you like to see this month?

Thank you all for your support and understanding!

I'll echo what other folks here have said: you've got a lot on your plate! Whatever option works best for *you* is the one I'd suggest, honestly. The seminar seems like a great step in that direction since you should have time between our choosing of the topic and your presentation.

I went through something very similar a few years back. It is beyond exhausting, so Do what is right for you, which includes maybe just postponing?
