Hello All!

WHAT JUST HAPPENED??? The jig is up with Cordy and she birthed an octopus angel??? HUHHHH...I have no clue haha. I can't wait to watch the next episode I can tell ya that much! Angel seemed blown away by her & Connor instantly kneeled, something strange is happening & I have a head full of questions, loving it though!

Definitely a crazy episode. I feel bad for Connor. The people that say they love him keep using him for their goals. He doesn't know who to trust. But that ending tho. Can you believe how beautiful that woman is. So lucky Angel stopped.

My heart absolutely breaks for Connor. I don't think it's him being 'dumb' at all, and I think if he were a female character being manipulated by an older male, including Holtz, then the feeling towards him would be different by most viewers. He makes bad choices,and he can be an incredible moaner (as teenage Dawn also is at times) but his life has been absolutely crazy!! He's been manipulated his whole life. Now he's alone in a very strange world, and yes his father's there but he was raised his whole life to hate and distrust him and does not have the same knowledge or attachment to these characters that we do as viewers; they are strangers to him. Cordy was the only one to actually heal Connor with her magic so it's not surprising he feels a connection to her and now this 'beast' is benefitting from that. He made a choice to still kill the girl in this episode but I also think it's worth thinking about how free someone is to make a 'good' choice when they are being so manipulated. He's also constantly being reminded that he will be a father and has a child to protect, and from his own experience that is something that is heavily motivating his decisions to go along with Cordy. I always think a good way to compare is thinking of Connor as a Foster child or adoptee that has suffered immense trauma, when they are taken into a home they can consistently act out but the carers or adoptive parents have to take that into account everyday with how they care and help to process any outbursts. Connor just has people yelling at him, dismissing him or telling him he's 'dumb'.

Really fast-paced episode and so many things going on. I hate that Skip was instrumental in this whole Dark Cordelia arc as I really loved him and how he talked like a pleasant, everyday guy. I had no idea Wes was the absolute best shot in the world. 🤔 Even though I know Cordy is being possessed, or whatever you want to call it, it makes me sad to see "her" act like this and see how she was the one that had committed all those atrocities. Cordy and Fred are my favorites and you're leaving me with half a heart. It was great seeing Darla again, it's been so long that I almost didn't recognize her. Granted, he had never met her before, but it kills me that Connor wouldn't listen to his own mother and would just let the one he loves after knowing her for like 5 minutes murder yet another innocent. For me, wanting to like Connor is like wanting to like poop tacos; he's just a shi**y person. However, as I've mentioned a few times, I believe in redemption and perhaps this is setting up his story arc. Connor, I don't like you, but I do have hope for you. I really like Gina Torres, and not because she was born a month later than me. I know her from Suits (as you mentioned), Hannibal, another show that she was in (no spoilers), and many other appearances. As I was bringing myself up to speed on her I was surprised to find out that she was married to Laurence Fishburne, another favorite of mine, for 16 years. I know the timeline would make it impossible, but I thought it would have been hilarious if in that last scene Angel had said, "Oh my God, the chick from Suits...". Thanks Dak, you're a leg-end!

I will never accept the idea that the events in the lives of these characters were all orchestrated to bring this about. I just don't like it. ... I don't know what "Darla" really was in this episode, but I was impressed by how quickly you considered that it might be The First. On my own, I never thought of that.
