About to watch this. But I can't wait for the next episode! It's a peak/quintessential Mr Robot episode. Also, you'll probably get a laugh out of its title

Here's a recap of the hacking situation outlined in the second episode. Knowing this will make it much easier to understand what's going on. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe fsociety already owns E Corp because of the initial hack done in the first episode. This means that they could theoretically erase all of E Corp's data right now, but the issue is that there are backups so it would be useless. There's two other variables which were discussed in the last episode. 1. The physical backups. These are hosted in the facility named Steel Mountain. This is why Mr Robot wants to blow up that building, because they need to erase the physical copies of the data or their hack is useless. 2. The backups in China. Like Mr Robot mentioned, their plan is to have the Dark Army (a Chinese hacking group) help them with this, because E Corp has an overseas backup.

And just to add another comment explaining this scene, the guy Tyrell had sex with and hacked is the admin assistant from the scene in the waiting room when Tyrell was about to have his interview for CTO. It wasn't a done deal, but Tyrell was assuming that he had the position which is why he told Elliot it wasn't official

Yes, every episode of the show tends to be thematically self-contained. While the plot is overarching and every action matters in the grand scheme of things, there's often one central metaphor of each episode where a computer science concept is applied to observations of human psychology. This is usually reflected in the episode title, for example episode 2 was 'ones and zeroes' and episode 3 is 'debug'.

They definitely read the comments. And just because loads of people want them to watch something, doesn’t mean they have to. They don’t even have to acknowledge it if they don’t want to. You pay to watch them watch stuff. You don’t get to dictate how they do it. If somethings late, suck it up and have some patience or leave until they’ve done the whole show, then come back 🤷🏼 They make a schedule, they break the schedule, that’s kind of just how it goes here.

look, i admit it bothers me a bit when they give us a schedule and then don't follow it, but there's a big difference between that and saying they just care about the money and they don't acknowledge us. First, if you're here it's because you like what they do, so you're paying either to get more content from the full reactions and early access, to support them or both. i've been watching them for a long time and when i could afford it i joined the patreon because i like to support monetarily to the people i think they deserve it. like buying books instead of downloading, etc. the thing is... you need to stop thinking that paying someone gives you the right to tell them what to do. they have never done anything like reacting to bloopers and just because the majority of people like them, like the aot in 9 minutes, it doesn't mean they have to do it or tell you they won't do it because there's been nothing pointing you to think that they might do it. they've only been doing reactions for maybe a year. the only thing different they did was the ranking of shows and q&a and that was ages ago. they're not like many reaction channels (not that there's anything wrong with other channels) and i honestly like that and that's why i'm here. would i like if there was a schedule and they updated us when they won't be able to follow it? well, yes, of course. but there's no need to be rude and make nasty comments. if you don't like what you're getting you could just simply unsubscribe.

Its just constructive criticism. I dont care too much either way, as they obviously try to keep to schedule. But an update on delays is just common courtesy, especially to people paying for content. Thats not debatable. I have to be honest though, their schedule is part of the charm of this channel. The will they wont they does keep things interesting.

Can't agree. Season 2 was way worse than 1 imo. But since L+M are reacting I'll give it another go and stay for S3 and 4 which I haven't seen.

I used to feel the same but I rewatched maybe 3 times through now and my opinion of S2 jumped massively. S3 and S4 are borderline perfect TV though, glad you'll get the chance to see!

Lol Season 2 is my favorite. Or it used to be. I think it's just so iconic and unique. It feels like when the show is at its most authentic. Looking back now though every season is so different that I think they might all be equal.
