I definitely read that Tsuki moment as an inferiority complex. Also I’m pretty sure this is the first time the reference the sun vs moon thing. P.S. This is definitely one of my favourite matches when it comes to imagery - from Asahi’s shadow rising from behind Hinata to the iron wall opening

It seemed like you were going to say something about Hinata, but then stopped midway through. I suppose it'll come back. Too bad I missed the chance to ask you to figure out what the signals were, haha. Anyway, brief note on Tsukki's line about "holding down the fort." (In Japanese, he says "shinogu," kind of like "scraping by") In volleyball, the most common scoring pattern is back and forth, one point each: 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, and so on. I serve to you, so you get the first attack. You get the point, but then you serve to me, and I get the first attack. Rinse and repeat, rotating one spot each time. So, one way to think about winning is managing to get several points in a row while you're serving, outside of that back-and-forth pattern. A point on our serve is what Shibata and Takinoue (the geriatric supporters in the stands) were calling a "break." Maybe in one rotation you get a good match-up for your ace spiker, or you have a good server who can rack up points, or you have a good block setup against a weak spiker on the other team, etc. Tsukki basically was saying that his goal isn't to get break points. It's just to keep the back-and-forth scoring pattern going, keep the rotation going around until Karasuno can get into a better position to score points.
