Here's the full length reaction to Spectre! I really enjoyed the villain in this one and liked how the movie somewhat connected all of the villains from the past movies. Only one more of the Daniel Craig James Bond movies to go! Enjoy!

Happy Friday, Addie. Spectre (2015) was the second Daniel Craig James Bond movie that I saw in theaters, but not in IMAX though. This was also the first Daniel Craig James Bond movie, and overall first James Bond movie since Die Another Day (2002), to be Filmed In Panavision (anamorphic). The gunbarrel sequence at the beginning is how a James Bond movie usually opens. Casino Royale (2006) had one that seagued into the main title sequence and Quantum of Solace (2008) & Skyfall (2012) had it at the end. The opening shot in this movie inspired director Sam Mendes to film his next movie, 1917 (2019) as if it were a one-shot. Next stop, No Time To Die (2021).

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 I've been enjoying watching the Daniel Craig James Bond movies along with you. I think that I might've seen bits and pieces of this one. Definitely looking forward to watching this later this evening. Have a great day and weekend! 😊

The villain's name and the titular organization he controls are more blasts from the past, as you'll see if you (eventually) go back and watch the series from the start...

I don't think Léa Seydoux was in Glass Onion.

I meant Dave Bautista and Daniel Craig were both in Glass Onion :) Just bad timing on my part because it had just switched to a Daniel Craig/Lea Seydoux scene.

For me it’s a tie between Skyfall and Spectre. Skyfall… I love how the villain had a long game plan. Spectre… A bit of a longer game. I totally agree with you about the creepiness factor of when he hit a single key and all the screens turned off and the people got up and stood on cue. This time watching.. I saw two cars leaving the crater while the helicopter was flying away. I can’t wait for the final movie. Take care of yourself, Addie!!

Regardless of what you think of the whole movie, the beginning long-take action sequence was just amazing. You can see that our Sam Mendes preparing a little for his next upcoming passion project 1917.

They start getting ruined by pathetic over the top agenda from here out, but that table scene was on point

Speaking of Dave Bautista, I also suggest Knock at the Cabin (2023), for Halloween.

I'm not sure exactly what Phoebe Waller-Bridge contributed in her punch-up on the script for "No Time to Die," but it wasn't nearly as blatant or intrusive as things we've more recently gotten in Star Wars, the MCU, those awful Rings of Power and Willow series, and these Disney live-action remake cash grabs. 🤢 It generally felt true to Bond's arc over the course of these 5 movies, IMO. I'm more concerned about direction the franchise is going to go next, though. This vicious cycle of allowing-writers-to- pervert-old-things-because-studio-execs-have-become-too-afraid-to-take-chances-on-new-things (even though taking chances on new things is how aforementioned old things became so popular in the first place 🤷‍♂) needs to stop.

As soon as I saw some 90 lb woman beating the shit out of jacked, skilled fighters on supposedly 3 weeks of training in No Time to Die to push a very obvious agenda, I mentally checked out. I can't even remember the rest of the movie. It's getting pathetic but it's always been there in these half lazy Craig Bond scripts
