Here's the full length reaction to Schindler's List. To be honest with all of you, I'm still debating whether or not to edit this down for YT because there's honestly not a lot of reaction/commentary in this video. I'm mainly just horrified by most of what happens in the movie and taking it all in. I do think that this is a PHENOMENAL movie that everyone should see once in their life. I totally understand why this movie won so many awards and why it's often listed as one of the best films of all time. I was so moved by this movie, and I love that they included the present-day scene (well, 1993 present-day) of the survivors. I understand that sitting down to watch this three hour movie with such heavy content isn't ideal, but if you're interested in my review, the last ten or so minutes of this video is me talking through my thoughts about the movie. Since I don't know if this will ever go on YT, I'm going to react to Jojo Rabbit (the poll runner-up) as well, and you'll get that reaction on Patreon later this week. Thank you all for understanding.

This is one of those movies I think everyone should watch once, but it is hard to do multiple times. I am glad that you enjoyed it.

Good call on Jojo Rabbit, I think it makes a good compliment and mostly pallets cleanser while being related. It’s a fantastic movie in its own way, very very different take on the subject matter but still done sensitively.

We will resepct your decision no matter what. I've seen reactors have the same debate as you in weather or not to post it to youtube. Some do, some don't. I'd say go with your gut feeling. I will definitely watch this later, it's been a few years since I seen this so I'm sure I can stomach it once more for the reaction! Cheers Addie 🍻

Hear, hear. Jojo Rabbit (2019) & Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), both directed by Taika Waititi, are gonna be the ULTIMATE pallette cleansers for Addie. I'm also looking forward to seeing her reaction to Deadpool (2016) soon.

There are obviously a lot of impactful, emotional, heartwrenching scenes in this movie; but I think the one that stands out to me now is Oscar Schindler asking for three moments of silence, and Rabbi Menasha Lewartow bursting out loudly with his prayer. As though to say, 'We will not be silenced--not even by the man who buys our freedom.'

I once heard (and I forget where) someone talking about the scene where Amon Goth tries to shoot the man who didn't make enough hinges. They said that they thought the scene was manufactured to gain sympathy from viewers, because the idea that the man lived because two different guns didn't fire was too convenient to be real. I'm sure there are scenes in this movie that are altered or played up for dramatic effect, but that scene wasn't one of them. The survivor of that scene has spoken of it in videos. That scene really happened. Early on in the movie, Schindler told his wife that no one would ever forget the name Oskar Schindler. He was right. So much of this movie is so moving and horrifying, striking, and beautifully emotional, but one of the many things that still sticks with me is later learning that Spielberg didn't earn a dime from this film. Fantastic reaction, as always, Addie.

The legacy of the act of compassion from this gentleman is immeasurable. The worth of the human lives he saved vastly dwarfed all the money he made. I’m not sure if you consider yourself as an “influencer” but if it wasn’t for your channel I would have been in the minority of people not seeing this movie. Thank you and take care of yourself, Addie!!

Spielberg said he almost quit directing after making this movie because of the emotional toll it took on him. Good thing he recovered and continued his craft. "The Holocaust film was so draining that he doubted he'd ever make another movie." -- Google Thanks for the reaction, Addie.

Thank you. Senior Spielbergo. For making two amazing WWII movies. Both of which I love and shall never watch again. Anyway, can we talk about Jaws? How great is Jaws? (Seriously, I took a screenwriting class once, and they taught Jaws as an example of a perfect screenplay)

This movie and Come And See are two movies about WW2 that I think are must-watches.

I don't have much affection for Spielberg's filmography, but Jaws is definitely among the few that really stood out to me. It's a perfect blend of humor and horror.

It's hard not to appreciate Spielberg as a filmmaker, but I honestly consider "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan" to be 2 of his most overrated films (along with "Jurassic Park," "Minority Report," and "Lincoln"). I will, however, concur with the greatness of "Jaws." By comparison, these are what I consider his 5 most underrated films: "A.I.," "Munich," "Bridge of Spies," "Ready Player One," and "The Fabelmans" (with "Duel" and "The Sugarland Express" just missing the cut).

As a German, I had to go through all this WW2 background multiple times in school, visit the sites and talk about it. I never valued this knowledge until I was in my 20s. Since, I watch this movie once or twice a year. You're always gladly invited to visit Europe to see everything with you own eyes.
