Was it easier to make films more quickly when you didn't have to worry about the actors getting their lines right? And what do you think of the Anthony Hopkins film about the making of Psycho?

Great video. It was the Albert Hall they used, Eugene Corri refereed over 2000 bouts and has a statue in Southend. I really liked this film, although it really isn’t what you think of as a Hitchcock film.

One I've not seen, tho' I do believe I have on one of my boxed sets. Will have to look.

It was easier without sound generally, directors could shout instructions during a take, and takes weren't ruined by passing planes etc. I haven't seen the Hopkins film but he does look very wrong.
