We didn't have much to say about this week's films, so task quickly turned to Robin's new book in the Universal Library, The Immortal Dracula.

Love the stuff about Robin's book. I've just started The Immortal Dracula and am enjoying it very much. I expect to snuggle down and finish it over Halloween. Curious to know whether Robin is able to see what folks Highlight in a Kindle version of the book. Also think that there is a very good reason to see at least one character from the Werewolf book in future stories. Might you venture into Voodoo territory, or the truly odd, such as the Tobanga type of monster?

I haven’t (yet) picked up any of your books (through no fault of your’s) but I do like when the supernatural has a very light scientific paint job. Lay it on too thick and you end up with the literally magic computers of the 80’s and 90’s, which I personally enjoy but.... and I lost my train of thought. I liked this more casual DC though and hope to see more like it from time to time.

My copy should arrive tomorrow! Just finished my annual reread of Dracula so the timing is perfect. As to future projects; maybe Jekyll and Hyde? That's certainly got atmosphere in spades.

Just finished my copy. Another darn good read. My preference so far is the Invisible Man. There was a depth to it that I didn't feel in either Mummy or Wolfman despite the littering of cues from the old films. Now go away and give us the Creature, Frankenstein and one other to be nominated later... Phantom or Hunchback? And don't tell me you're busy on other stuff, I don't care. Give me a book man! Can't you see I'm getting the shakes? I need another book!

On the subject of an organization that knows the supernatural exists but spends its time disavowing it... That sounds like Larry Correiea's "Monster Hunter" book series.
