Summary:  The basketball coach Clyde and his wife Stephanie divorced a couple of months ago and their teenage daughter Hannah and the girl Emily 'Em' live with their mother and spend the weekends with their father. One day, Clyde stops his car in a yard sale and Em buys an antique carved box and becomes obsessed with it. Em finds the hidden lock and releases an evil spirit that possesses her. Soon Clyde discovers that Em has a problem, but his ex-wife and her boyfriend Brett do not pay attention to him and get a restraining order against Clyde. Clyde seeks out Professor McMannis and when he sees the box, he explains that it is the Dibbuk Box, where a fiend is trapped inside. He also explains that the box should not be open; otherwise the person will be possessed by the spirit. Now Clyde travels to a Jewish community in New York and the rabbi's son Tzadok returns with him expecting to exorcise Em to save the girl.

This is an interesting take and I wish (from your description) they'd done more with the angle of the Jewish take on possession. There is a play called The Dybbuk about a similar case of possession set in a small, traditional Jewish village that may have had some influence on the story.

Bone Tomahawk (2015) is 100% worth your time, especially since horror westerns are so rare and none come even close to this one’s caliber. I would compare it to Jaws in that it’s really about the characters. On Prime. Speaking of sharks.... The Jaws of Death (1976) I think I recommended this before. Not good, but I found it oddly compelling as the story of a broken, homicidal man that society keeps antagonizing. Prime. Brawl In Cell Block 99 (2017) Vince Vaughn’s size has never really been emphasized before, but boy do they do it here. Basically, he fights his way through the prison system until he gets to the worst of them all. Best understood as a modern homage to exploitation movies. Prime.

Must agree on Brawl in Cell Block 99. Vaughn has a decent roll here and the ending, although inevitable, is satisfying,
