Ah, I love Trent. Like every line he says is delivered in such a perfectly strange way. "I think you should check your sources on that." Of course, he's a perfect mirror for Rebecca: on the surface they're both attractive and charming, but their actions are super creepy and inappropriate.

The admissibility of evidence obtained illegally is a complicated matter, and I'm not a lawyer. I would have thought that Rebecca was in the right not to use the stolen emails on the principle of "fruit of the poisonous tree," and that this is a different level from the sneaky methods she and Paula have used, because of her legal responsibilities. I love the great analysis you both offer about story and character; they're truly a highlight of every week. I always hope for you to be similarly insightful about the musical numbers, but they often don't feature in your after-show discussion... That insane "Rap JAP Battle" for instance -- by the way, there's an Explicit version on YouTube for that one, and it's hilariously raunchy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TQmo5TvZQY&amp;t=59s There were FOUR songs this week! -- admittedly, two of them were reprises.

I love Audra and Trent’s actors but I really love how the show uses them as mirrors for Rebecca both professionally and romantically.

The explicit version just has a few cuss words in it, and in some cases I think they replace a more creative word choice, but it is still worth a watch :) The JAP Battle Rap is by far one of my faves. It's some top tier writing 👌
