I had forgotten that this one episode had all three of these crazy plots: the "chicksand," Alex's roommate hunt (and the hilarious outcome), and Penny's wish for an offensively stereotypical gay boyfriend. (And I love that you pointed out that SHE was the stereotypically gay member of the group, 10 seconds before Max did!) My favorite quick bit of the week was the 3 instant responses to Dave strutting in and announcing "raise your hand if you got laid last night!" to which all three raise hands and answer in perfect succession -- Brad: "Jane gets stupid horny when we use our pizza stone." Penny: "I slept with my allergist." Max: "Confused college student."

This is one of my faves: from the handshake in the cold open, to "chicksand," to the introduction of drama Derek, to "the peter out" (a term I still regularly use), to the roommate surprise, to gay husband Penny, this one is a gem. The writing is so sharp and quick - laughing at one joke means you might miss the next one ❤ Fun fact: "dicksand" also works, if you're looking for some gender parity. (although if the guy's clingy I prefer "broa constrictor" LOL) P.S. Nice haricut, Kevin :)
