This episode is a gut punch because after hours you FINALLY saw Jamie and they take him away from you It had some of the best acting of the show for so many characters and it makes you remember it is NOT so easy

Joe is a Scorsese fanatic and has probably seen The Departed 200 times. He quotes it all the time. Martin Sheen should be in everything lol

This is I would say my favorite episode of the show. It hits so many great beats, and learning what Jamie had to deal with growing up certainly puts his prior behavior into perspective. Not just the toxicity, but the way he shuts down when Ted yells at him, his "give me a fucking break" when Sam and Ted are talking about the good relationship Sam has with his own father, how he always has to be the one to take the shot on the field. We finally get to see the real Jamie at the end, then he gets sent away :( An effective way to show people are getting caught in the crossfire of Rebecca's plan, but a depressing one. Laying out breadcrumbs you don't realize are there until you get the full context is something this show is fantastic at all throughout the series. Kudos to you both for managing to only watch one episode a week!
