I get you Wes. Being introspective definitely has its drawbacks, especially when one comment, or observation can really get in your head. I pretty much deleted all social media because of that. My mental health has been so much better since. When BTS stopped with reading comments, I think it helped them mentally too. Especially RM and Jimin. Those two can really get in into their heads. And JK to a point as well. I think the other 4 can shrug it off a little easier like Steph. I'm glad you're getting into these documentaries. When people wonder why we know so much about them, it's these documentaries and their vlives that really dive deep. I wish more fans would check them out. We'd probably get a little less delulu fans around.

Hey guys :) I already commented this on yt but maybe you'll see it easier here: on March 24th Jimin's first ever album will be released and I hope you can react to that despite your fixed schedule 😊 also could you maybe react to RM's album Indigo from December before that? You could listen to his album after you finish Burn The Stage next week 💜

Madison

Yea Jimin and RM are probably the most introspective but I'd say its for valid reasons. Both of them get attacked probably the most (in my opinion) and its never just simple hate comments. Like the things that get said about Jimin and Joon are almost inhumane. Due to this I think they get in their heads the most, however, I will say RM has gotten more open about his feelings because there has been a lot going on with him in just the past month thats been crazy and hes gotten more vocal about it.

Moonchild is actually the name of a song by Namjoon, from his second mixtape ".mono", and it's a really beautiful and comforting song!! Btw talking about Namjoon, hope you guys can take some time and go back and react to Namjoon's album Indigo that came out in December!!! It's so good, but you kinda skipped it :(( you could do the album reaction here and react to his mini concert (that is on BANGTANTV) on YouTube idk Edit: omg YEEES, so happy you remembered it on your own!!!

They actually do have pains, for example, Jimin has chronic neck, shoulder, and occasionally pains. That's why in a lot of content or you may see him getting massages a lot. Even when they do interviews and he's sitting on an uncomfortable chair, the member next to him would usually give him a quick massage for some relief.

They don't have songs that originally the singers rap and the rappers sing but sometimes they change it for special performances!! Like on the car i believe they were talking about the Tony Montana performance that is a Yoongi song on his AgustD Mixtape with another rapper, but on their 3rd Muster (a fan meeting they do) Jimin performed it with him and even wrote his part!! Also on Festa 2016 they had like a party with some army's that Sope (Yoongi and Hoseok) sang a song, Jin and Joon danced, Jimin and JK danced together and Taehyung performed Cypher pt3!! Also, on their 5th Muster the vocal line rapped Ddaeng (a rap line song) together with them, it's iconic btw!!! Oh, also, on Kkul FM Festa 2015 that i believe you'll watch soon they also had a segment when they changed parts like vocal line rapped and rap line sang but it was a lot more playful 😂

for lyrics i recommend https://doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/ instead of color-coded lyrics videos. hope you guys prefer doolset for future album reactions, doolset cares about guys' lyricism while color-coded ones prepare them in a rush to gain more viewers so there is a visible difference between doolset's and others' translations. imo doolset is important to understand bts as artists

Marissa K

Doolset is the best. But many like to hear the music while reading the lyrics. There are really good Army colour coded lyrics, like Dial, BBTS9717, and AFTAEHYUNG. These ones take a while to come out after release as they are taking time to translate. The most popular ones that come out like within day of release, yeah those ones are pretty much crap. Like they were entered into Google translate and they took what came out. The romanized Korean tends to be wrong too on those ones, not just the English translation.

So here's the thing with Billboard and many other American controlled awards or listing. They manipulate what type of data is their criteria to being in the top 10 or who wins the award. The criteria will always be biased to American artists and maybe some other western artists from Canada and UK. Very rarely Australia (Kylie Minogue). You will notice when foreign artists get to the top of Billboard all of a sudden they are changing criteria. When Justin Bieber won the Social Artists like 5 yrs in a row, no problem. But after BTS won it 4 yrs in a row, they took that award away and now there is new Social listing (which they keep changing the data coming in from Social media) BTS was winning Artist of the year or song of the year in some American award shows....oh now there is a solely kpop category. Like they did with the Latin grammys after Ricky Matin won awards. Top 10 Billboard? Good luck for a foreign artists to get number 1 now. They changed it after Butter won too many in their books and now the biggest percentage of the criteria is American radio play which used to be sales. And radio play is controlled by the American music industry. They didn't like fans were actually pushing their artists up instead of industry controlling who fans listen too. People really need to stop listening to radio, full stop.

i thought they may read the lyrics while the music plays at the back(i assumed they use chrome etc so can do both with using two tabs at the same time). i will check these channels thanks for advising!!

I would love for the both of you to do a couple of videos of you listening to their albums from debut to now (minus proof, as you've already done it). I think you would love some of their B-sides!

AnnaAfc

I'm Spanish but I'm studying music production and international music industry and it's a little bit ironic because western media and industry critices asian artists and kpop in particular for this supposedly controlled and manufactured industry when nowadays western is more manufactured than them. We all know how radio and the charts work. As more as you pay, depending on the company you belong to... So I tried to understand it objectively but I still can't

Joey Hong

Honestly tho, in episode 5, about your comment in regard to them getting critics, I was not an ARMY in the beginning until 2017, but I did remember that before 2018 ish, half of the comments for BTS were hateful. Like some people, were somehow really consistent in writing hateful comment for them back then. I don't understand what was their motivation, but I guess ofc those critics (that were mostly not constructive) would still influence the way they see their own performance. That's my opinion. Lol. Anyway, love you guys, so excited to see your uploads, as always.💜

😂 Guys, I'm sure there have been other comments about this, but a crow-tit is a dinky little bird. The song refers to how the crow-tit is trying to keep up with a stork with its tiny little legs.

spoopyjhope

Agreed!! They should take it into consideration once they're done with this docu series

I think RM is talking about how he received two major death threats, which canceled the end of the Red Bullet tour.

evanmcgaming dream smp part 8?

jimin had the shortest training period and was close to being kicked from the team before debut, which probably added on to his insecurities and self doubt after debut :/ im glad that he seems so much more confident and relaxed now though

Alexis

Steph is right, they have a whole industry built around them, and they also have a whole economy that benefits from them being active even just as individuals. When it was announced that they were taking a break at 2022 Festa, South Korea's economy saw a drop and most shares were being pulled out of companies that also benefitted from BTS's advertisement (whether intentional or not). I also wish they went to the military as a group, but I realized that it's selfish of me to not be happy for them having time to explore their own solo careers. The maknae line and Jungkook especially is younger, so they might still need more time. Now that Jin is off and Hobi is to follow, I'm actually more relieved that the other boys are still here inflicting chaos on the world 🤣 Jimin is releasing FACE, Yoongi is going on a solo tour, Joon's off in Barcelona being a fashion ambassador, Tae is capturing everyone's hearts by being himself at Seojin's Kitchen (a show in Prime TV where they run a Korean restaurant in Mexico), and Jungkook's doing 4-hour concerts and getting his well-deserved rest 🙏🏻 We know BTS, they have plans for decades ahead, and I trust them with my life 💜

Alexis

Also, you guys might be tired of this comment but just in case: I hope you guys can continue with Rise of Bangtan in the future! It really explains the timeline of their career so well, and at multiple points watching this, I swear I saw the exact scene and voiceover in Rise of Bangtan in my mind and hoped that you were watching that instead 😆 No pressure though, I get that this kind of content can be really mentally-taxing and I hope that you guys get to enjoy Bon Voyage 4 and In The Soop 2 first with chaotic BTS before going back to stressful backstage BTS 😭

i saw someone said when you are in military you are basically sokor govt's property and they can make you whatever what they want. in bts's case they would have to perform as a group in military just bcs sokor still wants to profit from them which is awful so they try to go one by one. not confirmed but it makes sense ig

Alexis

Yes, I forgot to mention that! I think the exact story is that: Politicians were lobbying for an alternative - instead of the 18-22 months of military service where the boys are inactive and immersed in physical training, they could do 36 months as "Arts and Culture volunteers" instead where they can be artists and go on tours without intensive training, except they should be at South Korea's beck and call and the money they make goes to the government. That includes stuff like the Busan Expo, performing at the UN, performing everywhere their president takes them, releasing promotional songs, etc. all while they don't make money from those activities. That proposal was never accepted, but the South Korean Minister of Defense said something similar when BTS announced their enlistment last year. How he thinks they can still perform while in the military. So not only will BTS be training as soldiers, they will also be made to perform for free anywhere their goverment wants. I think that minister received backlash from ARMYs and locals, but I bet that's one of the reasons why the guys didn't enlist as one. Another reason is because leaving some members is logical: aside from freedom and growth, one member can make money for HYBE and keep the BTS name alive, and when that member goes the others will return to do the same.
