Once again, I know you guys finished the series already but it’s veeeeery common for North Koreans to smuggle in South Korean commerce. It’s all illegal, and they present things much more positively in this show than it is in reality but it’s true that it’s common for ppl to smuggle stuff in (from the poorest of the poor to the richest of the rich) but if you’re caught with stuff from Korea, or china, or wherever else, you would be executed or sent to prison. There’s actually a lot of North Korean defectors on YouTube that talk about life in North Korea. I definitely recommend checking a few out (esp interviews on the channel Asian Boss). Oh it’s also common for the rich to travel wherever they want and for ppl to travel to North Korea. Anyone can go theoretically (even Americans) you just have to apply and get approved. Many American journalists have traveled and vlogged their trips to NK for example.
