The game is NOT using/applying Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.

The game has a fairly good HDR implementation with an actual Peak HDR Brightness control, but not in "nits" value and that can go up to 2.500 nits max.

Also the reference images do not represent actual luminance during gameplay.

If you have an LG OLED and:

> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:

  • Set Brightness to: +10 clicks (starting from Mid; which is around 2.500 nits in-game);

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set Brightness to: -7 clicks (starting from Mid; which is around 800 nits in-game) or -5 clicks (for G2) or 0/Mid (for G3).

If you don't have an LG OLED and:

> you don't have an HGIG option:

  • Set Brightness to: -5 clicks (starting from Mid; which is around 1.000 nits in-game);

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set Brightness to one of those values and the corresponding real Peak HDR Luminance of your TV in "nits" in-game:

In all cases leave the Contrast slider to 0 (Default) as it already represent a correct exposure/gamma.

BONUS:

  • Disable Film Grain: to improve both clarity and contrast of the picture.

Do you know if the Remaster uses these settings or the Part 1 Remake settings

Should the Contrast slider be left at 0 (Default)? Thanks in advance!

Yes Jonathan and I also added in the article as I've missed it in my first writing. Thanks ;)
