Oh man, I'm SO glad you guys enjoyed it! There's always that slight worry when recommending something that it won't suit the other people's tastes. That was a great callout on the style resembling a children's book. That was the manga author's original intention, but they were told their story was too complex for one so they chose to make it a manga. This cast is also STACKED with voice talent. You've heard Kage's voice once when you watched Haikyuu. He voiced the orange hair kid, but I don't expect you guys to remember that. You might recognize Daida's voice though because that's Yuki Kaji who voiced Eren in AoT. Thanks again for checking it out!!!

Oh yay, Ranking of Kings! Excellent choice, Smash Bran’Discootch! This is a really special show. It reminds me of a classic fairytale: super endearing but also can get dark. It’s great at saying a lot with a little in these early episodes. Like, what’s going on with the scene of Bojji dodging the snakes? But also, I love how the show subtly introduces the side characters who all have their own individual motivations. In this episode alone we see several sides of the blonde sword master and hints of more from most of the others. It’s not the sort of thing you’d think you’d get from a show like this but it rocks. Overall in my opinion the show has a couple of slip-ups but it still is one of my favorites from that year. Hope y’all can get to watch more someday!

Awesome! So far all the anime you've covered are top shelf stuff. Either shows that are just all around excellent or shows that have at least a very good concept. I feel sorry for the first average anime you guys cover if it ever happens.

Thanks! I plan to keep requesting for the whole first season at least. With today's membership renewal, I'm up to episode number 4 as far as requests. I agree that there are definitely a couple of slip ups but overall it's very good. It came out of nowhere for me and ended up being my pick for anime of the year that year ^_^
