Updated 11-18-2022 5:20PM PST Added completed and updated Hero Me Gen7 Parts Selection and Assembly Instructions PDF.

I am proud to present to you the latest, greatest version of the Hero Me Master Suite... Gen7!  Attached is version 1.0 of the STL files for the Hero Me Gen7.

This first release of STL for Hero Me Gen7 supports:

  • 65 3D Printer models (plus clones)
  • 17 Hotends
  • 12 Extruders (27 mount options)
  • 12 ABLs
  • 35 Part Cooling Duct options
  • 10 Cable Management options
  • 5 ADXL345 mounts
  • 4 LED bar mounts

Where Hero Me Gen6 had over 285 million possible 3D printer setups supported, Gen7 supports OVER 1 BILLION possible 3D printer setups! And Hero Me Gen7 has 47% fewer total STLs than Gen6 (293 STLs for Gen7 vs. 478 STLs for Gen6). Never fear, the Gen7 is a breeze for part selection.

Download the files below. Additions to the STLs and updates to the documentation will be coming fast and furious over the next several weeks. An illustrated version of the parts selection and assembly guide will be posted by this coming weekend (Nov. 5-6).

Hi Andy, I am trying to find the right hotend mount for a Creality CR-X ... have searched Discord and cannot find anything ... I know that there was perhaps some work being done for the Phaetus TaiChi dual filament hotend that would probably match the stock CR-X, has that progressed at all? Do you need updated measurements for anything on the CR-X (I have it in bits at the moment fixing an X-axis wobble issue)?

Andrew Soderberg

While there is a TaiChi hotend mount. It is "HMG7 Phaetus TaiChi Mount.stl". The model I have for the Creality CR-X hotend shows it to be 30mm wide. This is 3.5mm wider than the max width that the Hero Me Gen7 Base can support. If I were to make new version of the Hero Me Base wider, that would force me to create at least 40-50 other parts (mostly part cooling ducts) that are based around the current size of the Base. If you need a dual filament hotend with the Hero Me, please use the Phaetus TaiChi. Until Creality revises that hotend to be smaller, I can't do it. As it is I currently have a 6 week backlog of other part requests.
