Below is a ZIP of the first set of Hero Me Gen7 STEP files. This includes the Base (both Insert and Magnet versions), the Core Gantry Adapter (both Insert and Magnet versions), plus all the most popular hotend mounts and extruder mounts for direct drive setups for a total of 44 STEP files. More will be added as they are completed.

Note that there are not any STEP files for the part cooling ducts at this time. They are all created in OpenSCAD, and there is not a good STEP export tool or plugin.

Is there any concerns with sending to fabrication shop for quote?

really disappointing yet I suppose understandable that the duct files are not available. Unfortunately with the Ender 5 Plus (and likely the whole 5 series) the front beam is in the way so it takes a duct that sits high or else I lose a good 10mm of bed. After printing a few, the only one I have found that is close for me is the tri duct. It would have been nice to be able to import the ducts into fusion 360 for mock up like the rest of the components to see if they clear instead of being forced to blindly print them to test fitment. Silly question but what if you made the ducts solid instead of hollow, would that help to make them exportable as a shape that could be used for mock up? Far from ideal but far less wasteful and time consuming for people like me that have tight constraints. Also, I ended up making my own gantry adapter since they were not included in the step files either for some reason. You might want to make this more clear for the potential patreons as the only reason I upgraded my membership is to access the step files- just to find out many are not there. I suspect im not alone.

All the part cooling ducts were designed in OpenSCAD and unfortunately there is not a way to get these converted in a way to import them into F360 or other CAD programs. We will be posting the OpenSCAD files in the near future. Regarding the Gantry Adapter, as there are over 80 models of printers supported, we provided the core frame STEP file for the Gantry Adapter in the STEP zip called 'HMG6-Gantry-Adapter-Core-Inserts.stl This can then be more easily modified for a new printer's X carriage rather than have to cut away at some random Gantry to build a new one. All of the Gen7 Gantry Adapters were built off this core using TinkerCAD to get them all done quickly (this is where I have my library of several scores of X carriage models). More STEP files are coming in the next week or two (and will be updated regularly going forward).
