Sneak Peek - Hero Me Gen6 Magnet Mounted Bases (Patreon)

Here is a sneak peek at the magnet mount version of the Hero Me Gen6 base and gantry adapters. This will allow you to remove the Hero Me base and fans in one step to easily access the hotend for inspection and maintenance. The pictures shown are of just one example base/gantry combination. All the HMG6 bases and gantry adapters will have magnet versions available as an option.  

The base and gantry adapter are 'keyed' so there is no slipping of the setup. Early testing shows that they remain secure even at very high speed printing.

The HMG6 Magnet bases and gantry mounts will be a Patreon Exclusive upon release (All-access and above)!

I will have beta versions for a selection of hotends and direct drives available to VIP  Patrons by March 12th. All-Access Patrons will have access in late March. 

These will use eight 8mm x 4mm disc magnets.  Some direct drive setups will use 12 magnets.  

Edit: Added a photo of several magnet mount test designs. Testing for strength, rigidity, ease of assembly and repeatable alignment. The one on the right is the current final candidate.
