ghost of tsushima? the last of us part 2? i don't want insert credit recommending me expensive and contemporary games, i want to be recommended expensive and old games! you've now convinced me even further that i need to check out that aleste stuff.

RIP Tim saying "Boom shotgun sound effect." and then a clown horn playing now that he has his soundboard working. It was absolutely the dumbest joke that made me chuckle every time.

curious to see how the 360 GOAT list goes. that whole 360/PS3/Wii generation still feels like a weird and unpleasant mess to me, possibly the worst console generation since the 80s. i don't even know if it would be possible to do lists for the ps3 and wii.

Wow I don't feel the same way as Tim at all re: Demon's souls being the instruction manual for souls games. I have played Dark souls 1-3 more or less to completion and I'm finding Demon's Souls to be LESS friendly than the Souls games. Maybe it is not as difficult overall but the lack of an Estus flask requires you (or at least me, the not very good player) to grind for healing items, and I personally find the 5 different worlds with little suggestion as to what order you should tackle things in much more intimidating than the sort of branching paths of the Souls games.

I (brandon) know so little about this beyond knowing the series isn't for me, so you're probably right

I think it comes down to how you play it and your overall knowledge of it. I went into DemSouls thinking it was going to kick my ass cause I never played it before, but after figuring out where to farm souls to just buy herbs made it easy. Plus the Theifs Ring helps you beat roughly 60% of the game so it can become a legit hangout session.

See the problem Brandon is that you didn't play Miles Morales with the exaggerated swagger of a black teen. Streets of Rage 4 was meh, I personally think that the Scott Pilgrim game is a better beat-em up game but that multiplayer is complete horse-scat. Ubisoft really screwed the pooch on that. I want to personally hear what everyones Yakuza: Like a Dragon's party/build! I know Brandon didn't get far into it, but still. Also.. Ghost of Tsushima is a really fun game and I love it. I really wish people nominated it, i guess I need to get into the forums!

Thanks for the tip on Hyperspace Delivery Service, this game and its soundtrack have been a real treat for winding down after work this week.
