I have a new toy!

I've picked up a cheap, cotton green-screen and associated frame from Amazon, along with a moderately good webcam.

The reason being, I'm doing some experiments in the latest bullshittery with chroma-keying. Mainly because it's always a good idea to learn new things. But also because most of my videos are an exercise in making visual effects look like part of the game itself - text appearing above people's head, pews bouncing off things in frame, and animations generally highlighting the punchline in novel and interesting ways.

I have a specific gag in mind for this video. But what I'm envisioning is a little bit of subtle green-screening to occasionally make the audience go "wait, what?".

For example if the player character is opening a door in CSGO, a human arm (with the exact lighting and colours to match the character) could briefly appear in the shot to open the handle before sliding out of frame again. So seamlessly that most people won't notice. Leading to a double-take from the viewer a few seconds later.

Small things really. I'll experiment and see how I get on. Even if it doesn't work out, it's all useful experience
