This movie is no longer canon as far as Deadpool standards go, but he still made me crack up with “people are dead.” Deadpool & Wolverine arrives in July, but for now I’m looking forward to you guys reacting to the remaining X-Men films. Up next is First Class. This movie is will.i.am’s first acting role. In the comics, John Wraith’s mutant codename is Kestrel. He was one of my two favorite mutants in this film. My other favorite is Remy LeBeau/Gambit. He’s a pretty well-known character among the X-Men. Anything in his hands is a deadly explosive once they’re charged with kinetic energy. That includes a deck of cards which are his favorite pastime. He also carries a bo staff as a secondary weapon. Gambit is also one of the main members of the X-Men in the 90’s cartoon. The continuation X-Men ‘97 is now streaming.

So they based this off of the comic Wolverine:Origins, which was a big deal when it came out cos Wolverine's backstory has been a mystery for as long as he's been around. So, FACTS about the source material, if you're interested: Born in Canada in the 1800s. His name is James Howlett, Logan was the name he picked up after he lost his memory. The trauma of getting the adamantly bonded fried his memory. As Xavier put it, the scar tissue formed from having whole lifetimes of traumatic memories makes recalling somethings impossible over time. Silver Fox, the indigineous woman Wolverine was with--Sabertooth(Victor) uhm...did a looot more than just kill her. And he comes for Wolverine with that same energy every year on Wolverine's birthday. Just picks a fight out the blue by killing the people around him. And of course, this is NOT how Deadpool's origin goes, tho from my understanding he's also not a mutant, just a Steve Rogers-esque black ops science experiment version of the Super Soldier- given a serum made from Wolverine and the Hulk. One of the guys who co-created Game of Thrones co-wrote this screenplay -David Benioff. Stay awesome guys😁🙃🙃🙃😁

When you get all caught up with the other X-Men movies definitely go back and rewatch both Deadpool’s. You’ll understand so many more references

I love Logan but The Wolverine Is underrated. Watch the unrated version it's better.

for this movie they took several stories from the Wolverine comics......Silver fox was part of the weapon X project and was shacking up with Wolverine, but in closed sets of the cabin in the woods and he never could figure out what was really real....and he didn't volunter for the adamantium experiment he was kidnapped by a person called the Prodessor. The Deadpool part was made up and was a total mistake ( thats why Wade kills him off in one of the Deadpool movies. Dukes is actually called the Blob, who can make his own center of gravity. And Gambit's power is he can exchange potential energy to other things, he finds that using cards and throwing them was cooler. He actually falls in love with Tougue in the comics. Also in the comics he DOES stab Victor through the skull and makes him tame (for a little bit) And this was before Proffessor X formed the xmen, vut he loses his abilty to walk from the Shadow King, later in the series.

Fun fact: Deadpool in the comics said something about him being Ryan Reynolds I’m real life, he seen that and they made this happen. Fans wasn’t to happen about this Deadpool so years later in 2016 he made the more comic accurate Deadpool. He also actually has all those powers too hope they show more of it in Deadpool 3!

At 1:24:58 the person moving super fast held by those bands is actually Quicksilver. It's never actually confirmed though all we know is this character has super speed and white hair, I guess Pietro has more silver hair in reference to his name quicksilver.

yeah if it had been a true wolverine origin story it would’ve been more epic, but the studio or whoever it was that strayed from that, cost it a lot in like being a rewatchable classic, biggest issue when it came out was deadpool’s depiction, and some other stuff, some of it was too one dimensional but hugh jackman did his thing, my favorite part of the movie, are the opening credits, them going through the wars in different times was great.

I dislike how they treated this movie as a disregard to the entire x-men franchise, and made deadpool like this, but obviously they corrected it and made it would it should have been, and i cant wait for yall to see X-Men: Days of Future Past, my fav xmen film

first time i watched it, i loved it. Second time i loved it. All the other times... i loved it lol First time i saw it Gambit caught my eye with just how sick his powers were. Can't wait to see what the MCU does with the X-men and especially Gambit. I hadnt seen this film in so long but that's only because i have seen it multiple times.

Ryan Reynolds was basically playing dead pool. But they didn't have the rights to use the costume. So that's why he so similar to deadpool. It's deadpool without the name and outfit.
