I think there is a lot of symbolism in the lactating CEO (Madeline) and Homelander. I see it as she is obviously a career woman who gave up family and now she's struggling to make up for it. While Homelander obviously sees her as a weird mom/sexual presence. Homelands obviously has some deep seeded problems.

It’s such a different vibe knowing Vince already seen it 😂 Not in a bad way at all, it’s just funny seeing Vince’s try and keep it together while shoshana is clueless about what’s gonna happen 😂😂

The senator could have flipped it, but he would have likely been voted out of office by the voters in his conservative state. Doppelganger is not a known superhero to my knowledge so all his voters would see is the senator in bed with another man. The senator himself says something to the effect that homosexuality is no longer a disqualifier, to which Madeline responds that it still is to many of his voters in the state of Oklahoma. There is nothing that a politician fears more than their loss of status and power, which is why corrupting politicians is so rampant in this world and ours. This show is an insanely good commentary on our political and social climate. I'm happy both of you are watching it together. Something to keep in mind while watching this series: the real heroes in the story of Superman is not Kal-El himself, but his biological and adoptive parents.

Omg... Did you see her FACE!!!! Lol... So many times the look of pure (wtf am I seeing right now) was sooo good! She starting to get what kinda show she is watching. Like we all did. But we didn't get to see our own faces when we first watched it. Omg two episodes in and this is already so much fun to watch.
