I think you need to go into Breaking Bad with a different mindset than a Stranger things or The Boys. It is a show that gets better and better and it is slow SOMETIMES but the pay off is worth it ALWAYS. Many people feel like yall during the first season but you have to stick with it. It's a very complete story from beginning to end. Let the story play out trust me it's worth it. This is not a happy meal show like Stranger Things or The Boys (not an insult) it's like reading a perfect novel from beginning to end where everything pays off. Love you guys. I've watched every video yall have. You are going to love this show. Think of it like one really long movie.

Oh yeah, this is definitely a slower paced show. The pace/drama/action really picks up later in the show, but for the most part the pattern is one or two crazy episodes followed by two or three slower episodes that deal with the consequences of the crazy episode before them. And then bam, it's another crazy/important episode where something big happens to change the plot direction or characters' relationships and then repeat with a couple slower episodes dealing with that. Also, I just wanted to mention that they had to cut season 1 short due to a writer's strike in Hollywood at the time, so season 1 ends on a scene you wouldn't think it would, but don't worry. Season 1's story line wraps up in the first couple of episodes of season 2. :-)

this show is the first i've ever seen that tries to demonstrate how making bad choices will manifest in negative consequences. most shows will have sequences of killing, lying, betrayal and selfishness and just try to brush it under the rug after time passes so that you continue to root for the protagonist. not this show. you truly reap what you sow with this one

I haven’t watched the reaction yet, but based on the comments, I completely agree with what is being said. I guess I never considered the show slowish bc the plot and character dynamic immediately attracted me, but rewatching it, I could see how others might think it is compared to other recent shows. I think dramatic shows that are made in the more recent times make sure to make the plot go quickly because of shorter seasons and just the fact that our minds have a shorter attention span in this generation. but, with this show, having a slower built up plot with more episodes is necessary to make the character development feel more real. Lots of moments have you on the edge of your seat. as someone already said, don’t go into this thinking “The Boys” or “The Last of Us.” Go into it knowing that it takes time to develop the characters. The creator, Vince Gilligan, does amazing with shows, Just wait, it’ll be all worth it 👌🏾😎 *after watching* Loved the reaction, you guys always have great summary and feelings of the plot. And you guys pick up on things I didn’t pick up the first time I watched. Can’t wait for more!

This show is definitely a slow burn, especially season 1. But oh boy, the hype is real. In terms of writing from start to finish, Breaking Bad is probably the best show ever made.

You definitely gotta adjust your expectations Shoshanna. Saying this show is “slow” is crazy. Walter got a cancer diagnosis in ep. 1 and immediate started cooking meth. He didn’t wallow or bargain or wait till his family got buried by medical bills. Nope immediately to cooking. Then in ep. 2 a melted guy falls trough a floor! This show is anything but slow lol.

I don’t know you guy’s ages but the thing that made this show so great to me is that you’d never suspect the dad from Malcom in the Middle, or the annoying neighbor on King Of Queens to be playing this role one day. It was out of left field cause he wasn’t the star on any show he was on
