Chapter 2 Alpha Bros

Naruto and Kiba grew up close, despite having their own rooms, the two would often sneak into the other’s bed. Both boys would get restless without the other. When they enrolled in the ninja academy Tsume set them up with a shared room. It was just too cute, she’d check on her boys and often find them cuddling in bed together.

Kurobi and Akamaru had a bit of a rivalry, as ninja dogs did, which started their master’s rivalry when it came to ninjutsu. Rivalry wasn’t frowned upon in the Inuzuka clan so long as it remained healthy.

They pushed each other but also supported each other. Hana joked they were two halves of a whole idiot, but they did their best. Despite any rivalry the two had, they came together to face difficulties.

Naruto faced some issues, being the Kyuubi’s vessel. His father wanted the boy to be treated as a hero, but so many saw him as the monster he contained. The adults that lashed out at Naruto directly faced Tsume’s wrath, the adults that kept their fear and hate in the shadows didn’t realize how they acted passed on to the children.

He didn’t have many friends, if it wasn’t for Kiba he probably wouldn’t have any. Kiba brought his brother into his social circle, and when they got to know Naruto, he won them over. The blonde learned a lesson, and cared for their little pack more. “Thanks bro!” Naruto hugged him making Kiba blush.

When given the chance Naruto’s natural charm and charisma shined. It was better when he didn’t try so hard. It was easier for those around their age to understand each other better.

Some adults learned they were being foolish, but it was a small few.

The two were quite the pair and their bond grew with time. Not to say they didn’t fight or argue as siblings were to do, but a few cold nights alone often got them on the path of forgiving each other. Most of their arguments were childish anyway, no point in ruining a relationship over such things.

Their training yielded results, the ninja dogs learned and mastered the Beast Human Clone technique; the boys learned the Inuzuka style of taijutsu, such as the Four Legs Technique. They could mimic their partners and fight with tremendous speed, accuracy, and power.

The Inuzuka fighting style used hit and run tactics, along with other ninja tools and chakra tricks to defeat opponents. When Naruto and Kiba fought each other in sparring matches, things ended up in a grapple for dominance that often ended in a draw.

Naruto learned about chakra control, able to channel it through his body to enhance his speed and agility. He could extend his nails to make sharp claws, and lengthen his canines for a powerful bite. The blonde Inuzuka learned to channel chakra to his nose and become an expert tracker.

He wasn’t a master at it yet, Tsume claimed she was on a master level able to smell lies. Though...she may have been bluffing/teasing as a mother does. Inuzuka clan members had an enhanced sense of smell, training their noses to catch all kinds of scents even without using chakra.

Tsume was training them young, even using games of Hide and Seek to turn her boys into expert trackers. Once Naruto came of age, he received the clan right of passage and got the red fang crest, but got it on his chest. There would be no denying he was an Inuzuka member now.

As the clan brothers got older and started going through the change, their close relationship began to bring new things. Kiba wasn’t stupid, he knew Naruto wasn’t his brother by blood, he was his clan brother. That made certain feelings a bit harder to ignore.

What didn’t make it easier was some of the childish rivalries they had. They started seeing who was bigger, my comparing their manhoods. For a time they were about the same, but as they went through the change things were revealed. Both were uncut and were both growers. Naruto had him beat in length, but Kiba had him beat in girth, which led to arguments about which was better. They both had nothing to argue about as both had bloodlines that were known to be monsters in the sack.

He thought things were fine as they were, but then Graduation was coming. The blonde was a little nervous. “We might end up on different squads.” Naruto pointed out.

“It’ll work out, we’ve been training and studying since we were ten. The only thing we kinda suck at is genjutsu, and that’s not for everyone.” Naruto laughed and pets Kurobi to settle his nerves.

‘It’s fine, even if we are on different squads we’ll still be brothers, and be ninja of the same village.’ He tried to tell himself. The same way he told himself not to worry about Naruto’s fans, even if they crushed on him his bro was oblivious. A part of the reason he felt their bond was so special. ‘It’s not like he’s getting married or anything…’

“Woof!” Akamaru barked.

“Huh?!” Kiba had spaced out and Naruto had left along with Kurobi. “Where’d they go?”

“Woof woof!” Akamaru barked and yipped and to the outside ear it sounded like normal dog barking, but to an Inuzuka ear it was perfect English.

“Sasuke called him out, what for?” Kiba got up and followed Akamaru. Sasuke Uchiha was a popular young man, he came from a powerful clan, had a rare bloodline ability, athletic and got good grades, had decent looks and a nice body. Kiba didn’t really care for him mostly because he used a ninja cat as a partner.

A lot of guys were jealous of Sasuke, since he had a lot of attention from girls. Kiba didn’t get an alpha vibe from the Uchiha, more of a beta vibe, maybe even omega. Naruto butted heads with him a few times but Kiba didn’t think anything of it.

“No, just us.” Naruto raised a brow at him. He agreed, but felt his bro was off.
