Chapter 1

Chap 2 Catching and Starter Pokemon of Pallet!

Ash was frozen in terror, he heard the familiar flapping and his heart sank. His memories washed through him like a Surf, and his heart sank. ‘No…’ The sounds was getting closer. ‘No...no...no…’

Ketchum was brought to his knees as he began to sweat. “Master!” Umbreon went to console him, but the boy was unresponsive. In the dim light Umbreon’s rings began to glow to provide some comfort in the dark.

It was exactly what Ash was thinking it was a Zubat!

“Stop the exam now!” Gary snapped. He’d seen the thing flying on the monitors.

The examiner was shocked by the young Oak’s outburst. Gary had once wanted to ask Ash if he hated Zubat now, but blamed himself he never brought up anything involving the incident since. Now seeing Ash’s panicked expression, he should have asked, he needed to stop this.

“This is his last test, he needs this to get his trainer license.”

Gary looked on the screen and he could see Ash get paler and paler. ‘How did this happen of all the rotten luck?’ It wasn’t luck.

While all the student’s pokemon were randomized Ash’s pick was made by a special request.

The wild Zubat sensed them, and moved in to attack.

Ash saw it coming, but in his mind the image of the Zubat with the strange markings appeared in it’s place, Ash felt fear. He became immobilized by fear, and did nothing as the Zubat tackled them and knocked them down. “Master!” Umbreon called, swiftly getting back up as the Zubat turned around to make another attack.

‘Calm down...it’s not him...it’s not that one...it’s just a Z...Z...Zu…’ The color drained from his face and his bite mark seemed to ache. ‘What am I doing why can’t I move...I…’

The Zubat let out a Supersonic, and the noise triggered something in Ash, who clutched his ears. “Ahh!” He cried out in anguish.

Umbreon jumped in, unleashing a Snarl, dark sound waves clashing with Zubat’s sound waves. ‘Test or no test I will protect my master!’ Umbreon charged, conjuring a bite, as dark fangs of energy manifested.

Zubat dodged out of the way and came at him with a Wing Attack. Instead of fighting with Umbreon it went after the downed target.

Ash was more than a little dazed and confused, the Supersonic made him feel like he was a kid again, helpless and weak. The thing that haunted his mind, that was still out there somewhere….the thing that cursed him. He couldn’t stop shaking.

The other students thought it was funny, unaware of what Ash was and what he had been through. “He’s scared of a Zubat how pathetic!”

Gary had seen enough and heard, exam or no exam, he was getting Ash out of there. He was stopped as Professor Oak entered the viewing room. “Grandpa?”

“I had a feeling this might happen.”

Gary being a rather smart cookie put two and two together. “You arranged this?” Samuel nodded. “Why?!”

“Because Ash will be going out on an adventure of his own soon. He won’t always have you there to protect him, what happens if he encounters a swarm of Zubat and this happens again.”

“But…” Gary still blamed himself even after all these years.

“If Ash can’t overcome this, then he may not be cut out to be a Pokemon Trainer.” It was cold but Zubat were quite common in most regions, and not just in caves, once night fell Zubat could be found at night.

Gary balled his hand into a fist. ‘This isn’t fair…’ He knew his grandfather was right, he just didn’t like it.

Zubat made a move on Ash, it’s fangs glowing green as it prepared a Leech Life!

Umbreon dove in the way and took the hit. “No you don’t!” He unleashed a Bite, getting Zubat to back off.

Annoyed with the dark type, Zubat unleashed another Supersonic. ‘No...can’t lose focus...have to protect Ash...no matter what…’ The noise was making his head spin.

Ash saw Umbreon struggling. “Umbreon…”

The dark type snapped out of it’s confusion at his trainer’s call. “Take this!” He unleashed a Snarl and did some damage.

Zubat came back hitting Umbreon with a bunch of Wing Attacks.

“Umbreon...no…” Ash’s heart was breaking. He needed to do something, anything or...Umbreon was gonna…

Umbreon collapsed, barely hanging on. “Master...I’ll...protect...you...no matter...what…” Umbreon panted.

Zubat took the chance of removing the threat, using another Leech Life so it could recover some energy as well. It swooped down on injured Pokemon.

In a flash Ash was gone and so was Umbreon, it happened so fast even Zubat didn’t know what happened and ended up slamming into a tree.

Ketchum had used his vampire speed on instinct catching his Pokemon and scooping him up. “I’m sorry Umbreon...you got this hurt trying to protect me.” He hugged the monster.

“I’m okay Master, are you okay?” Ash wanted to chastise his Pokemon as he clearly wasn’t okay, but was touched at the concern.

“I...I’ll be fine...let’s do this…” He turned his cap around. ‘I want to be the very best…’ Ash stood up. “Zubat...I’m gonna catch you, I’m gonna pass this test, and I’m gonna become a Pokemon Master!”

His eyes were glowing gold.

Zubat let out a battle cry. He swooped in with a Wing Attack. “Umbreon dodge it with Quick Attack!” Umbreon dodged, speeding off like a bullet.

It happened so fast Zubat didn’t know what hit him. It tried to fire off another Supersonic. “Counter it with Snarl!” Umbreon released the dark sound waves and used them to counter Zubat’s sound.

“Impressive did he learn that in coordinator class?”

“Guess so…” It was an elective and Gary opted out of it.

Zubat readied a Leech Life. “You aren’t the only one who can confuse his opponent, Umbreon Confuse Ray!” The flying poison type got zapped with a surge of blue, yellow, and red light.

He started hurting himself in confusion, slamming into trees over and over again. “Monster Ball Go!” Ash threw the ball and it hit Zubat.

Jiggle...Jiggle...Jiggle...Ping!

“I did it, we did it, I caught a...I caught a…” Ash ran over and picked up the ball, and since the fight was over the adrenaline wore off. “I caught a Zubat…” He fainted.

“Master!”

“Well he did catch it.” Oak said.

Samuel got Ash to the Nurse’s office. Gary wanted to go to, but he had his own exam to do, his target was a Nidoran F. ‘Too easy!’

Not so easy as this special little lass knew Dig, which made this test a bit trickier.

Ash had recovered in the Nurse’s office along with Umbreon. When he came to Samuel was at his bed side, and his new Pokemon was on the table next to the bed. “Professor Oak?”

“How are you feeling my boy?”

“A bit woozy…” He smiled seeing Umbreon beside him, still asleep. A hand was placed on his head, gently petting him.

“Your Zubat is right there.” Ash tensed.

Samuel sighed. “Ash...do you hate Zubat after what happened to you?”

“I…” He looked at the ball and picked it up. “I didn’t think so, and I don’t wanna hate Zubat...I’m just scared…” He caressed the ball. “This Zubat didn’t hurt me...but I still…”

“What happened to you was very intense, trauma like that can’t be erased easily.” He patted Ash’s shoulder. “Maybe you and this Zubat can work to heal those wounds. It may take time and it won’t be easy, but I’m sure you two can form a strong bond.”

“Yeah...I can try…” He held up the ball. “Zubat I choose you!”

Out popped the bat monster, as with Umbreaon since he had caught the little guy as a monster he could hear his voice. “Master...my master!” Zubat cheered, flying at Ash’s face to rest on his head.

Ketchum paled and passed out, almost foaming at the mouth from the shock. “Master?!” Zubat wailed.

Oak sighed. “Well this wouldn’t be easy.”

When Umbreon woke up he was able to explain things to Zubat. The little bat monster sulked, an aura of gloom surrounding it. “How awful...does master hate me?”

“I don’t think he hates you, but you might want to take it slow with him. What happened with that Ancient Zubat still haunts him and the curse he bares will never go away.”

Zubat sniffled, now realizing why Ash reacted that way when they met. It was fear.

Ash would come to shortly, Samuel had left having things he needed to do. Gary would take his place, he was a bit annoyed as he had to wait for everyone else to finish the test, as it was meant to be a learning experience. “Are you feeling better?”

“I...I’m fine…” A lie, he was clearly on edge with the Zubat nearby.

The two were trying to touch, finger to wing. “If he bothers you that much you can always trade him for a Pokemon you are more comfortable with.”

“I’m gonna be traded?!” Another wave of gloom, his wings covering his face. “No please I’ll be good!”

“No one is getting traded.” Ash looked to Gary. “It’ll be fine, Zu...Zu…” He cleared his throat, to shake of the tremors. “He didn’t hurt me, that one did, just because that one hurt me doesn’t mean I should hate all…” he gulped. “Zubat...I can do this, I’ll raise this little guy well.”

“Master!” Zubat jumped and hugged his face.

Ting! Ash fainted.

Gary face palmed. “Why do you have to be so stubborn?”

“Master no…” Zubat cried as the vampire twitched.

“Zu...zu...is a nice Pokemon...we can be friends…”

“Zuzu? Is that my name?” Zubat asked, blushing slightly.

“Sure.” Ash smiled sweetly. A shaky hand reached out to pet the bat monster. Zuzu waited patiently for his master to touch him, so giddy as the touch came and he was pet kindly.

“You also used your monster power.”

“Oh yeah, did anyone notice?”

“I don’t think so.” Sadly someone did notice. “You need to be more careful.”

Ash was pretty nimble before the monster strength, so to most it looked like just a burst of adrenaline.

His stomach grumbled. Ketchum blushed. “Hehe…”

“I guess you, would be hungry after everything. You really are a handful sometimes.” Gary got into bed with Ash, straddling his waistline. He pulled down his collar and exposed his neck.

“Ehh?!” Zuzu was stunned.

“Kapuchu!” Ash bit his neck.

“Ahh!” Gary blushed and moaned, Ash drinking from him lovingly. Every suck sent jolts of pleasure racing through the brunette’s form. ‘This feels so good…’

It took him a minute to get hard, helped that his blood couldn’t rush south with Ash drinking it away. His heart raced, and pleasure burned hot. Sooner rather than later his cock began to stir.

Ash seemingly finished, and Gary wanted to slip away before the raven vamp noticed his arousal. Whoosh!

The young Oak found himself on his back with Ash on top of him. He licked his lips. “Seconds please…” Gary blushed and couldn’t deny him.

Ash bit the other side of his neck, drinking and sucking.

He was caught in a vicious cycle of pleasure, his arousal building up to erupting, only for it to be pulled back. Pleasurable edging, but much like his arousal came, his release came. “Ash...Ash...Ash!”

Gary made a mess in his boxers, he twitched and tingled as Ash licked his bites and heals them.

“Are they always like this?” Zuzu asked.

“No sometimes they are naked.” Umbreon answered.

“I want dessert!” Ash’s eyes glowed and Gary’s pants came undone as if an invisible force made it so.

The vampire wasted no time and licked Gary clean, before sucking his cock. Suck~Suck~Suck~!

Ash’s oral skills were something else, as the young Oak swiftly came and his seed was chugged down. He kept sucking milking Oak’s balls, every suck after his orgasm brought another spurt. Suck~Suck~Suck~Suck~Suck!

“Mmmm so yummy!”

Their relationship had built up to this level of intimacy over the years.

The two got their trainer’s licenses, and because they were in the top 3 of their class they got a special pass to receive a Kanto starter.

Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle

This trio was quite popular and many trainers wanted to get one if not all three. Ash was so excited to get one.

He had Zuzu in his ball, still not used to the little bat mon. Arriving at Oak’s lab to get the starter, Gary was already waiting for him. “You’re late!”

“Sorry, I slept in.”

Gary rolled his eyes. ‘The guy only needs four hours of sleep and still ends up late.’

The other trainer was a boy named Cross. Gary recognized him from an advanced battle class he had taken him. He liked Fire, Rock, and Dark type Pokemon.

Ash tried to introduce himself, and Cross glared at him. “Stay away from me!” He snarled.

‘What’s his problem?’ Oak thought.

Samuel came to greet them and he had the starters, a pokedex, and some monster balls. “I want Charmander!” Ash said excitedly, he stepped up to get him, only for Cross to push him down.

“Hey!” Gary rushed over to the vamp and helped him up.

Umbreon growled at him.

Cross ignored them and took the Charmander, he didn’t even bother taking a Pokedex, but he did take the empty balls. He shot Ash a glance, his eyes full of hate and disgust. “You better watch yourself!” Cross left.

“What the hell is his problem?” Gary hissed.

What they didn’t know was that Cross had seen Ash’s movements during the exam. He had investigated and had seen Ash and Gary necking. ‘He’s a monster!’

‘Just you wait, soon enough I’ll have a team strong enough to end your cursed life!’ Cross planned to kill Ash. This unknown threat being able to walk right out the door.

Ash took Bulbasaur and Gary took Squirtle.

As much as Gary wished he could travel with Ash, he knew they were both new to all this and needed to venture off and take their own paths for now. “You look after Ash, okay Umbreon?” The dark type nodded.

“I’ll be fine you know, you don’t have to worry about me so much.”

“When you tell me not to worry, is when I worry the most.” Ash pouted. “Just promise me you’ll be careful.”

“I promise!” Ash was very confident in his abilities, thanks to his training with Gary he had honed his vampire abilities.
