Ohms

The flags really be flaggin' in this episode

Golladan

Oh no! Luke likes Jinwoo's sister! The curse! Aaaaannyways... man they're really dragging out this part, aren't they.

Keith Merrington

Lots of chatting and no action this episode.

Majoz

Arcade'owy Łowca

My prediction is that those convicts will try to get to the only girl in this team, Jinwhoo will decapitate them, and then the overseer will try to report Jinwhoo for faking his rank.

As always, love your reaction, and stay with yours truly for more knowledge about this episode (spoiler free) 1:26 your eyes meeting mine at this exact moment xD (for the opening song) 3:15 yeah he's indeed smiling more in the anime, and I like it !! (not that we never see him smile in the manhua either) 3:38 Yeah that's her, the S class hunter with a sword that is in the Hunter guild. Her name is Cha Hae In. And about her running like that, it has another meaning for the sidestories readers, but I'm not gonna spoil. 4:39 Yeah it's supposed to be the very capital of Korea : Seoul. 9:36 the punishment is proportionnal to the task you fail. At this point, the system never makes it clear if the penalty zone is mandatory when there's a need to give him an appropriate punishment. Well, since he fears that too, he keeps from testing disobeying the system. Remember ? That time the system threatened him to make his heart stop ? 10:05 yeah it seemed like unfair to put up so strong monsters against the low level Jin-Woo, but I think the system chose enemies that he could run from at that time, so, low speed monsters. 15:56 Oh I get exactly your feeling about Finale Destination !! 19:20 the "ultimate weapon" is just as told, even if it's not too obvious : it's just a nickname the press calls him, and now all the citizens refers him as to. 26:08 exodus in that case means they left this area, or quit as being hunters. But I think she uses that word to not make everyone remember the recent slaughter incident, that shorten no less than 7 lives (meaning there's less hunter the association can summon in that area of Seoul). 28:06 you guessed exactly right the two reasons : how low the bow was, and how he's much older than him. 28:57 yeah I guess they put him next to Jin-Woo's bed in the beginning, even if he didn't talk (that was not him in manhua and novel though). But that's not why he's looking at him like this... 30:55 yeah it's 5 out of the 6 survivors that showed up this time (including Jin-Woo of course) And about answering the association's summonings, you can only refuse up to two times in a row, at the third time in a row you refuse, your privileges will be revoked (you're fired) (and it also counts if you miss a call, and don't call back). And about the frequency of E & D rank gate summonnings by the association in this part of Seoul, it was around 1 gate per week (and sometimes one dungeon every 5 days) for Jin-Woo when he was the "world weakest hunter". Obviously they didn't called him when he was nursing his wounds at a hospital, but they started calling him back to dungeons as soon as he was back at home. So he needed to show up every 3rd time he was summoned at least. And it's not a spoiler, as it was already explained by that time in the manhua, but he contracted an insurance with the hunter's association as a backup, to pay his mother's hospital bill. He's not getting a penny more in his pockets, he had to kill monsters himself if he wanted to earn money for him ! See ya next time ^^

Soulhind

Not only Jin Ah, he's been liking several people in this episode lol

Marcio Neves

Next episode seens like will be EPIC!!

Marcio Neves

6:00 exposition time, to make us learn more about how the world works. And yest, that's Seoul

Barack O. Llama

luke you didn't see what the mum said to the girl on the phone. she said the girl was completely useless and a hindrance to everyone around her and should just be helping around the house. thats not good parenting lol

wildhunt1973

Having not read the manhwa, I will say, chances are that none are going to die because Jinwoo is FREAKING STRONG now, and it's only a D-Rank dungeon. I think this will...hopefully...be okay. I think he will have to bust out his skills, though. And I think the reason they did a recap was because the voice actor for Jinwoo was sick or something. I don't think they wanted to, but they needed to give him time to recover. Which, I think that's awesome they did that for him. If what I heard was true.

Renan Pelée de St Maurice

To me the look of the inspector is more about the way the others are talking to Jinwo. Since he should be the weakest but strangely the most experienced is bowing to him.

Barack O. Llama

i don't know how else to say this but you're just stupid. in almost every reaction luke pauses so much and this is one of the times hes paused the least. keep crying

Ryan Thomas

Well following the rules of the Luke curse those characters Luke liked must die next episode XD

Marcio Neves

Two of the people showing great consideration to him, the oldest one even bowing ALL THE WAY DOWN, and the other two acting awkwardly, like as they are ashamed. For sure it draws at least some curiosity towards him :)

Marcio Neves

16:35 no, she was not. She was implying that Joohee is a nuisance to the others and should give up being a hunter and come back work at the family business

Golladan

Voice acting is done months before the anime starts airing. The VA being sick has no impact on the current season.

Marcio Neves

21:55 imagine you being one of the top sword fighters in the country... and awakes as a magic caster hunter, where a sword would be useles in your hand 😅

Marcio Neves

23:54 and all of the survivors reunited... well, one is missing, the other lady was not request for the raid

wildhunt1973

The VA, Taito Ban posted on Feb. 13 that he had the new virus, so he took a week off to recover.

Aiko

Hey Luke! Just wanted to let you know I sent a reply DM! Great stuff as always

Marcio Neves

Golladan, unless it push back the whole schedule, to not build up and crunch the other people working at the show. It is like a factory, everything has its time to happen, so the product can be delivered in proper time :)

Soulhind

or said no to the summon, or never want to do raids again

Soulhind

yeah on one hand she's a caring parent, on the other she's bringing down the self-confidence of her child...

Soulhind

yeah that's putting worries before dreams, kinda sucks, even if that's what most parents would do, for the individual on the receving end, it's not helpful

Heiron

Is it just me who likes that the anime giving screen time to the side characters? I felt this was missing from the Manhwa. I don't know if it's because the anime adapting the novel and they shine more there but I am happy about it.

calisp wohie

the association guy. is on of the two who came to sung in the hospital.

Zer0

Well damn, Luke killed the purple hair dude. Now who is going to take care of the prisoners?

ArtKi

12:25 There's no chance the reunion is a coincidence. That guy (in charge of the prisoners) is there to see how these guys survived that first dungeon. And he will pay KEEN attention to Jin Woo. 20:52 "Aim for the antennae!" 21:06 I bet he has something to do with the reunion. Does he want to prisoners to die? Did he lose a loved on in the first dungeon and is upset that other people survived? Don't know but we'll find out in a episode or two. Based on the pattern this series has shown so far (set up episode followed by GIANT CRAZY CLIMAX) ... this episode was so very setup that this climax is going to be insane.

ArtKi

The more setup in one episode, the more payoff in the next.

Odinn_AEsir

I hate having to wait a week for this anime. I fucking love these types of Animes and this one is already so damn good

Soulhind

Even if yes there's some content coming from the novel, nope they didn't give that kind of introduction for them. Still we have better grasp of every side character in the novel because a novel is witten like this. We always see what each person is thinking. And I like both the novel and the anime for their respective story telling. The manhua was too rushed for me.

So no future knowledge just on watch #4, and I’ve changed this thought a few times but here’s where I’ve landed (mostly i can point back if I’m right or if wrong gets buried in obscurity lol): • Goes to random guy who’s distressed saying “they” all must die • Meeting at the gate of 2 strange groups, prisoners and the survivors (5/6), both far out ranked by the Hunter guy who seems to be sizing everyone up • First thought the guy had something happen and wants the prisoner group to die, on reflection maybe too obvious? • The sizing up the survivors, and the fact the 1 girl is missing kept bugging me. What if the guy is that woman’s husband, father, brother, etc and the reason shes not there is she killed herself due to the event? So he wants this hunter (association) who can likely clear the dungeon himself goes there, with 3 prisoners, kill everyone, say the prisoners turned on them and he had to kill the prisoners? Foil of course being our boy is now waaaay more powered and he’s taking note of that. Also reason for the recap was a sporting event last week so they knew they aren’t going to get the eyeballs. Honestly think they should have just skipped the week entirely, but it was a “.5” episodes so suppose were weren’t lost on an episode we would have gotten.

Tekbox

ok something I noticed is that the anime leaves out a lot of details so if you want a deeper understanding a good idea may be to read the manhwa on the side. just reading up to where the episode leaves of after watching each time would probably give you a better understanding of the details. from what I've seen the anime follows it really closely except for not always disclosing details so it is safe and spoiler free as long as you always stop in time

Tekbox

I mean it is kind of the third iteration of telling the story so they do have a chance for more polishing.

Tekbox

Yeah but them all being familiar faces means when they are in danger he is more likely to reveal his abilities even at the risk of being found out. Though I don't think he would've watched strangers die either if they were in life threatening danger

Damian

Really enjoyed this episode, I did enjoy the extra scenes they added apart from the manhwa. It was a really good build up episode for me. Next episode is gonna be amazing.

Jaylious Yew

There's 6 survivors excluding Jinwoo. The one that isn't show is actually the lady that was holding Jinwoo with Mr Kang, and also the 1st survivor that ran towards the opened gate.

Chyro Nighthowler

The curse of luke is strong in this one.

Stefan

We got a lot of fan service in a the of this show and also with only 12 episodes. “What about the last one?” 🤣 You should get used to see lots of 🐜 🐜 , you might never know where/when they might come…And yeah, curious to see that island too. Ooo, your starting to take some educated guesses
