By the way we missed out since the anime didn't cover from the novel but Demiurge in that tent was in a village experimenting at his Happy Little Farm. It's a farm full of human and demihuman captives where Demiurge tortures and near kills the captives: men, women and children by peeling off all their skin and using it for scrolls. He then revives the humans and regenerates their skin only to repeat the process. Another note to take is to remember that the elder lich Igava has the exact same name as the adventurer that Ainz/Momonga killed before fighting Shalltear.

Also, this isn't a spoiler since the anime omits parts from the light novel - did you notice that when Cocytus talks to Demiurge, Demiurge is holding a human bone? Demiurge has a human farm where he breeds humans that Nazarik has captured and uses their skin for scrolls, and bones to build things. Demiurge is basically the most evil in all of Nazarik.

Canonically named “Demiuge’s Happy Farm” where he claims to ethically harvest materials from bodies of all species, then uses magic to heal and grow them back so they can rinse and repeat. If demiurge got a side story anime, it would be rated G, for Geneva Convention.

For this war, they discussed in the previous episodes that they wanted to experiment with living being, primarily human at the time, to turn to undead and see if some humans will become higher level undead as the normal cap was lvl 40 and they wanted to see if they can make some with higher lvl. Albedo then (I think it was her) suggested that there are lizardmen that they can experiment on instead as ainz didnt like the idea of using humans. This is why they trying to conquer the lizardmen

I think one of the closest think you can find is the anime Kingdom. It will cover the war of the dynaties of China. What I loved about that anime (and the manga) is that they will focus a lot around the politics in wartime and how the generals command their armies with different strategies and such. Animation is hard on S1 and S2 but after its good but still, the story is good enough to be worth it.
