Of the openings/ endings revisited so far the slime openings are probably the closest to a "standard anime opening". There is nothing wrong with them, but they are mostly character shots and out-of-context battle scenes to a fine song, but with little deeper symbolism. That's fine but its the kind of thing I skip without a second thought after seeing it a couple times. In contrast with Overlord, Fullmetal Alchemist, Re-zero, or certain Naruto openings where I come back to them Over and Over and often seek out reactions

I really, really, REALLY love MindaRyn's voice. I just can't skip any opening or ending that is sung by her, in any anime. It is really worth to react all of her work

I'm excited for the new season, but i mean the Spring season of anime. There's so much continuations coming etc. Demon Slayer, Mushoku Tensei, MHA S7, Irregular at Magic Highschool, Spice & Wolf Remake, Hibike Euphonium (oh how long we've waited), Shinigami Bocchan S3. I'm not as excited for Slime, tbh. I've watched it myself, then rewatched another dozen times as reaction videos, and being completely honest the anime fell down in my list.

There was a 3 episode special of Slime last season. Maybe as a transition to the next story. Dont know if it will be important later on. Still recommending "Shingeki no Bahamut" (Rage of Bahamut) ops and eds.

Never understood the success of this one. In order to understand it, I persisted in watching the 2 seasons. It's not bad, but it's not really good either. Narratively, it doesn't have much to say, it's not very original (you can really find all the isekai tropes), random fan-service, the protagonist (overpowered) is never really in trouble and rallies everyone to his cause easily, technically (visuals and animations) it's just okay etc... I could overlook most of these faults, but my main criticism is that it has nothing relevant to say. A slightly above-average isekai.

Slime comes back in April. Konosuba, and Mushoku Tensei also come back at the same time. So if he'll only do one, then I guess we'll find out which is his favourite (unless he's sneaky and makes us choose).

any anime that you just keep rewatching without seeing anything new is going to get tiring. This is why I read the Manga. All I'm saying is if 8-bit nails the animation we getting some scenes that are going to look crazy. The plot and world building is So expansive, and it may not seem that way because the anime had to cut out a lot of finer details.

Not true, just as i've seen Slime multiple times, i've seen Re:Zero/86/SAO and some other animes. And yet those animes don't bore me, and the reactions neither. I knew someone will write about this. But the actual thing is, Slime is just a generic power fantasy anime, after watching it once, you don't get excited anymore, because you eventually expect the MC to slap everyone. And so does Slime. But besides being a power fantasy, half of the screentime are actually politic things, not even comedy. Actually there's not much comedic moments in Slime, either, they're easily countable on the fingers. So yeah, that's the summary.

it's an 8/10 Isekai. Decent animation, good sounds/osts. Def weaker than re:zero or eminence in shadow or mushoku tensei but, compared to your average trashy isekai, this one is good. I'd say slime isekai is a strong recommendation to anyone who is INTO isekai but hasn't seen it yet. Not bad, not masterpiece, just in the middle solid 8/10, therefore I cannot say anything bad about it (it's also slightly a semi unique concept). PS: I treat it like spy x family, a show that exists just for warmth and giggles, nothing too serious, I feel like that's slime. If you are not in the mood or in that period in your life to be into those type of shows then I understand the disappointment. I too once watched about 50 romance animes and now I am in that period where I don't enjoy romance shows anymore unless they special and god tier like kaguya-sama.

I feel like sometimes originality is overrated. Some shows don't need to be original, they just have to know how to use their cards; slime is a great anime because it really understands what's great about those classic tropes (same goes for Black Clover or Haikyuu)

Originality is not a requirement, but it is one of the criteria. Konosuba also uses all the isekai tropes...but from a different angle. If it's not original, other aspects have to grab me. My problem with Slime is that none of its aspects are really interesting to me. It does the job, much better than many isekai, but nothing more. It's pleasant to watch, I'm not saying it isn't, but if the anime had been cancelled I wouldn't care that much. Watching the 2 seasons didn't leave any marks on me. Mushoku, RE:Zero, Konosuba, Tanya Evil, Ojisan Isekai, The Eminence in Shadow, etc. all did it in their own way. To be clear, I'm not surprised that many people find Slime enjoyable. I'm surprised that it's so popular and so highly rated. I wonder the same about Demon Slayer. But it doesn't really matter, you can't always like what a lot of people like, and sometimes you love what a lot of people don't like. Personally, I think I must have rated season 1 "fine" and season 2 "good" on myanimelist.

I'm really excited for this season of slime. I've read up to volume 10 and I've not been disappointed on how they have adapted the anime at all. I'm excited to see how they adapt the novels.
