You have got to watch her NPR Tiny Desk performance. It is really fun with a lot of her talking. You can tell she really enjoyed crafting the Folklore portion of the tour. I think because she was able to really tell fantasy stories and imagine herself in them.

According to a vocal coach I follow, the reason for her almost shouting "the maddest woman you've ever seen" during "The Last Great American Dynasty" is because the entire song hovers around certain notes in her lower register, and if you sing the same notes for a long time your voice get kind of stuck, a way to sort of reset is to change your tone or volume, which is what she does there. Also as someone mentioned above, check out the story in and behind that song, it's amazing

I love being on this journey with you… Obviously, I knew who Taylor Swift was, but I honestly had no idea WHO she actually was. Only a few short weeks ago, I couldn’t figure out what to watch, so I said~ Fuck it! And just clicked on the first thing on the list. And that was Long Pond. And my life hasn’t been the same since. So thank you for being my voice as well ~ I’m reacting and amazed right along with you!!!!

The Last Great American Dynasty is about Rebekah Harkness. (Look into her!!) Rebekah owned a mansion in Rhode Island called, Holiday House, where she hosted parties and lived lavishly… after she died the house remained vacant until bought by.. you guessed it!!! Taylor Swift!!!! It’s really a great little song. You should watch Long Pond Studio Sessions on Disney+ in its entity. So So So amazing!!!!

I'm so glad you called out "right now is the last time I can dream about what happens when you see my face again". It's one of my favorites on this whole album!
