The 2nd guy in the guy is the head of the hunter association and his boss who was shown in the 1st episode when they were introducing everything and explaining how things work.

Thank god the animation is consistently good, and it wasn't just the first couple of episodes. I would say that the action is still a level below the webtoon (hehe) but considering how God tier THAT is, a level below it is still very good.

Considering your the one trashing it when clearly most people based on the reviews online including Luke are enjoying it I think the better question is what is so bad about it? As so far as someone who has seen it and read the Manhwa I haven't found any issues with it.

There have been plenty of source material that has gotten shit treatment to make a quick buck, but running the future prospects of the anime completing the source material.

I haven't read the manhwa, but the anime is pretty darn good, so far. If it stays at this level, it will be a great journey, but the majority say it will get better. Therefore, I am a little confused about your opinion.

I did read it but you still didn't provide a reason for why you call it absoloute garbage and considering your clearly the minority I will ask again what is so bad about it? Since its clear from the reviews of most people here and the countless others who have read it before and watch the anime and posted there positive reviews online that its not garbage like you call it. In either case your thing about "hope the anime is different" I can tell you now won't be the case since the anime is following the source material very closely right the way through so if you didn't enjoy the manhwa your not going to enjoy the anime.

Well I haven't said anything about the anime except that I hope it's gonna be different. The manwa story-wise is objectively bad unless you're a kid and therefore easily impressed. Characterization outside of the mc is almost nonexistent and the action sequences get repetitive. One could disagree but only because of personal taste. I don't know about the anime, I just hope it improves on these things. If you or these smartasses in the comments like it I'm glad. If Luke likes it then even better. But this was so hyped for no real reason.

I found it mediocre at best, as the character just keeps getting stronger and stronger with no stakes. And it follows the very basic formula of "introduce stronger enemy, beat it, introduce stronger enemy, beat it". Only this time there isn't actually any struggle to beat the new stronger enemy as by the time they are introduced Jinwoo is already stronger than them.

Luke, I would HIGHLY recommend you read the Manhwa as well, since while the show follows all the main beats of the story, there are many small world building and flavour things that it kind of has to skip to keep good pacing. The manhwa is also in FULL COLOR, so it's absolutely stunning visually in not just linework and story, but also use of colors and shading!

For the two guys they showed in the first scene and sparring together in the cut scene, the younger blonde guy is the one who suspected Jinwoo's reawakening and re-tested his rank in the hospital. The strong old man is the chairman of the Hunter's Association. We saw him very briefly during the following phone call with Blondie telling him that they were mistaken about Jinwoo's reawakening. These two men will be recurring characters. Jinho is best boy, so you'll definitely love him!

Lmao the brain fart with saying we've never had the contemplation of killing people when it was huge plot points in Attack on titan and Fullmetal alchemist, whole character of Violet Evergarden was even dealing with this issue. Even lelouch in code geass is caught off guard by some stuff after he thought he was prepared for this. I'd say here, contrary to what he thinks it doesn't even look like it bothers Jin Woo but imma wait for next episodes to see if it impacts him at all.

f you ever wonder certain things, the anime might skip details from the webtoon such as more about the system. The webtoon show more, while the anime is shy.

also a small clarification that was cut from the anime, but said in the Light Novel is all the random loot box rewards he gets from the system are never "random trinkets" they are all something Sung will need shortly in the future. for example the pen he got Ep 3 was used to give the nurse his number and the Umbrella was also a Loot box reward, that he gave to his sister.

If you watch first time and that person pause a lot, it takes a way from your excitement a little bit. Same for songs. First time listening a song with a reactor is not really "the best experience".

Let me explain myself better then. I don't shit on it because I dislike it, but because I dislike it AND it's actually bad. As I've already said, again and again, it's really fine if you like it. Good for you. But it still is objectively bad. What you people are unable to do, showing childish behavior, is admitting/realizing that it's not good even if you like it. And it's not that it sucks because I say so, if one has studied, or has a culture on this kind of stuff, or has an "adult" enough mind, they know it's bad by any decent standard. This show is kid stuff, I'm sorry if you don't realize it. And, once again, there could be a million reasons for you to enjoy this, but that has nothing to do with admitting reality. If you really think this is good then you either have a young mind or you're very confused. Having said that, if you guys consider Solo Leveling good by anime standards than I guess the bar could be raised a little. But I'm talking about narrative media in general.

What are you even on about. Does a story need to be the most well crafted, with the most complex intricacies for it to be good ? Sure this is not the most oustanding story but is it the only requirement for it to be good ? The execution, the art (or details in novel), ... there is a lot more to define a good piece of work. And by its popularity its OBJECTIVELY delusional to say that Solo Leveling is bad. Maybe it doesn't have what you look for in a manwha/manga/anime but it's personal to you so stop assuming your opinion is gospel lmao

Jin woo gets a "full recovery", "3 stat points", and "random loot box" every single day when he finishes his daily quest. The old man is the Hunters Association chairman Go Gun Hee (he gave the narration in the first episode) The blonde dude with him is the head of the monitoring department Woo Jin-Chul (he did the reevaluation when Jin-Woo woke up after the double dungeon incident)

It's certainly not a masterpiece, but calling it garbage is also an exaggeration. I think the anime is overhyped, but that always happens with shonen. It's an edgy fantasy and although I also sometimes catch cringe, objectively it's well done, it has good drawing, good music, and a lot of fanservice, it has all the elements to be liked by the viewer, it's similar to anime like JJK, Demon SLayer, SAO, etc. that were all on the hype at the time of release. Once again, it won't be the anime of the year and won't be a classic, but it's not bad in itself.

you know when you say the pace & Flashback in Solo Leveling is great and not disturb the moment ,i think your pause Luke too often makes the moments feels off And when you say 1st time in Solo Leveling do you forget Mushoku Tensei really ? lol

That quest had perfect timing, really liked it. I wonder if this notion of fake ranking was introduced aleatory… Jinwoo has to go Batman style, no recognition
