I honestly love OVERLORD. its my favorite anime, but I don't think you should watch it quite yet. There is a movie coming out this year around summer, and it covers an arc that season 4 skipped. it would be a way better watch experience being able to watch the Movie along where it was skipped in season 4

I'll always recommend you to watch RWBY. It's a western web series created with 3d computer animation by rooster teeth (the same company that made red vs blue). It starts off very clunky and may be hard to watch but it gets so much better later when their budget increases.

Two ideas. (Assuming that when you said "huge" you wanted a long series like AoT) That "Legend of the Galactic Heroes (original) that I mentioned before. ORRRR, one of those long RomComs like " Maison Ikkoku" I've got no idea of the viability (need clicks!) of older series like that. If we talking popularity wise i wouldnt say on par with AoT but IMO definitely among the most popular anime series that fit the slot would be Demon Slayer. A less popular but still big animes id say are Overlord (last main anime from Isekai Quartet that you havent watched - Tanya the evil, Re:Zero, Konosuba, Overlord). Rising of the Shield Hero and Goblin Slayer blew up the internet because of some controversial episodes. Aside from that i wouldnt say they are that much popular nowadays (maybe its just me) A bit less known but still must watch IMO would be Higurashi (when they cry), Serial Experiments Lain (psychological horror/cyberpunk horror) Neon Genesis Evangelion (might feel like Stein;s Gate with the "need to rewatch") And probably the big animes but you already plan to watch one of them on Twitch

Can someone let me know if he actually understands the stuff going on or is he still entirely confused even at this point? I got tired of these reactions because he couldn't even keep up with the most obvious and basic stuff the series was informing you about and just constantly kept going backwards with all of the information you are supposed to keep up with. He did fine with majority of season 1 but whenever he started season 2 he just kept slipping up and confusing basically everything.

"Ai shitemasu" (Rem) / "Ai shiteiru" (Wich of Envy)... both have the same meaning, they are just different ways to spell the phrase "I love you" in japanese. A shorter way to convey it is to just say "suki" or "suki desu", wich means "to like". The former ones convey a VERY STRONG and formal felling, like "serious love", while "suki" is more "general purpose love" 😁

So people have told you that the author writes "What If" stories in the past, specifically about one where he ran away with Rem during season 1. The author also did one commonly referred to as Greed:IF which is a 'What if Subaru had accepted Echidna's contract?" story. I won't go into the details of it since it contains material past what is currently animated, but suffice to say Subaru starts being really free with using Return by Death and the story really only kicks off after Subaru has used it over ONE HUNDRED MILLION TIMES experimenting on how to change and effect things.

Finally Luke got to this episode. Next one is going to be wild, also Luke some people may have told you already. But the Re:zero author puts on subaru birthday some short stories that are what ifs if Subaru had made an different decision in key moments, the main ones all take one of the sins as it's focus. The Kasaneru IF(greed if) is an amazing read, its basically an scenario where subaru accepts Echidna suggestion despite all the facts.

NOW YOU UNDERSTAND. When season 2 was said to be better than season 1 this was why. Season 1 is great but 2 takes the foundation 1 build and launches a rocket off it. Every single episode going forward is amazing.

Considering Satella is the Witch of Envy, I feel like she'd just take back the Return by Death power if Subaru made a contract with another Witch. Unless of course Witches can't take back powers once they're given? Or perhaps Subaru really did make a contract with Satella in exchange for that power, and witch contracts can't be broken even by the witch? ok so now imagine having that AWFUL FEELING of having to wait almost a week, except EVERY SINGLE WEEK FOR THE ENTIRE RUNTIME. its honestly so painful to watch weekly but at the same time in that week EVERYONE ELSE is also pissed that they have to wait a week and a ton of people will also post videos talking about the episode, and stuff cut out from the novels, which all just enforces your experience as you find out more and more about the show. i definitely recommend, if you dont plan on reading it or even if you do, go watch some videos about cut content surrounding re:zero, there's so many details that have to be left out, which are so huge that you'd wonder why they werent treated like more important things. for example, this was something that you could find out without watching cut content videos but priscilla's (one of the royal candidates) knight that was friendly with subaru is actually also from japan, in the anime the only thing telling it is a single piece of dialogue where subaru mentions the kansai dialect, a prefecture (i think thats the right name?) in japan, and to that Aldebaran responds saying that everyone from kararagi speaks like that. in the books they have an actual conversation where he finds out about this. i've read all the novels up until the start of season 2, and those couple episodes have the most heavy amounts of cut content in the whole show. those first 4 episodes of the arc were two light novels, that being about the length of a single full novel.

While I'm doubtful it has any chance I do hope Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is included It's one of the few anime that gave me a similar feeling to what I felt when watching Re:Zero My only problem with it is the fact that it's so short

Demon slayer would be awsome for you to watch! It's getting a new season in the next couple of months, so it may go on longer that you are expecting. If it wins the poll, here's the watch order I would recommend: Season 1, Mugen Train Movie (it is on crunchyroll), Season 2 episode 1, From S2 E8 and thereafter (the previous 6 episodes are just a rerun of the movie with a little bit added. You can watch it if you want to, of course)

this has probably been said multiple times, but i adore re:zero so i thought id leave my first comment. About your surprise at the witch of lust and thinking "does she just want to bang subaru", almost all the witches are kind of subversions of what you'd expect them to be based on their sin. Daphne, the witch of gluttony, created mabeasts that were huge or could multiply infinitely to solve world hunger, Minerva, the witch of wrath, wants to heal the entire would (forcefully of course), carmilla the witch of lust, has extremely low self esteem and just wants everyone in the world to love each other. Its fun to think about how yes, the witches are "evil" but if you strip away their actions, the motives they have are usually quite good (for some of them of course).

Regarding enchilada's contract, she wants to know EVERYTHING. That's why she didn't answer when Subaru asked you would give me the best way to reach my goal, right? Implying she will use Subaru as a guinea pig dying in multiple situations to satisfy her curiosity and gain more knowledge. It's like going to a therapist and telling her your troubles. Turns out she gets off on hearing about your troubles, suggests alternative decisions, let's try to tackle this together! It's an enjoyable pastime for her. The thing with Beatrice is like telling a child to solve this problem and until then, you are not allowed to leave your room. The child wracks her brain constantly but does not know the answer. It is later revealed there is no right or wrong answer. It's all subjective. You could have gave any answer and left whenever you want, the door was never locked. You like pride? I guess you forgot the part when pride ripped off Subaru's arm?

It takes 4 months starting today to finish demon slayer (3ep / week) New demon slayer season start April. In 4 months we are in april. By the time you end re:zero, start demon slayer and finish season 3 demon slayer, season 4 will be out already and you will even have a couple of episodes to react probably from the new season

Since I asked earlier and all the responses I got were people being crybaby losers that couldn't actually answer my question can someone with a functioning brain that understands the series tell me whether or not he is doing better with understanding and keeping up with the information for this season or is he still having a hard time doing so? by huge he means in terms of popularity. His picks needs to be =.= a choice that when he choose that people will want to Look at that series. Death note, AOT, Re:zero, FMAB (and prob next demon slayer). All of these have in common that they are mega popular a.k.a 'huge'. my only problem with him doing certain shows such as mushoku tensei and code geass in patreon is that he will at some point he will run out of 'big shows'. And when that happens =.= he will probably wished having those big shows in 'patreon only' for his main instead.

I find it very ironic that the "downside" to Echidna's contract, in this case, is usually what one would say is the "benefit". It kind of throws you off a little at the start. Unlimited advice from one of the most knowledgeable beings in the world. What's the catch? You'd think it has something to do with her having a "taste" of Subaru's accomplishments, but as the other Witches point out (and the Greed IF story shows), it's actually the advice itself that you should worry about. Because you are leaving yourself open to endless manipulation and sidetracking from a notorious "experimenter" with everyone's lives on the line. Of course, Echidna doesn't believe this is an issue. Subaru can return by death. Subaru said he would preserve through the sacrifices. The details are not important as long as a positive goal is achieved "in the end" (where have I heard that before?). Like Subaru states, Echidna is (almost) emotionless. Her greed is what is most important. Her personality up to now is just a mask that is deemed necessary. Subaru's sanity is secondary. But luckly the Witches interfered, and Subaru remembered about Beako. She had a contract too from Echidna. And how did that turn out? Echidna's indifferent response was really what Subaru needed to know to turn down the contract. However, this leaves Subaru in a bit of bind. The problems in and out of the Sanctuary are numerous and grow with every loop. If Subaru perseveres alone, all he does is potentially add more bad endings and more grief. But if he seeks out help, he is left with those who might manipulate him or don't have his best interest at heart. So, Subaru stands on a knife's edge, unable to completely reject sacrifices and unable to completely accept them. Indeed, this is why he has trouble with the second trial. He can't find an answer that is satisfactory. His first trial went easier because he had already accepted his past regrets from his home in Season 1. But his present is different. His present is an endless living hell. I think next episode should further enhance these ideas.

Just answering for your Pride, she actually didn't rip Subaru's arm or make him go pieces. Her powers somehow inflict things on people who are sinful or in Subaru's case thinks they have sinned. He thinks he did wrong to his parents by not going to school like we see from his past. Like she says "You don't feel anything" holding his arm and then when he is in pieces she comments that you think you have sinned, but implies that there is no wrong doing on Subaru. I think if he actually had killed or did something bad he would have been in major pain. Just my own small opinions and I only think like this as only have anime info to go with, no LN knowledge.

I think he has been doing okay from season 1 already, seen so many people reacto to this anime that he isn't the worst of them. Overall he is really into figuring things out, but he clearly don't have the background to have insights to some of the mysteries this show hold. Another thing that I will always say to anybody is that he is doing reaction video while watching a very heavy mystery story. So not understanding everything is just part of the course. Rewatching this show if really want to figure out stuff is almost mandatory or if you really want to go crazy watch anime and read LN's (Personally starting LN's after season 3 has aired fully).

I’d love to see Sword Art Online on here. 3 seasons(though it feels like 6-7 seasons) and a movie, not to mention the Progressive movies. Log Horizon has 3 seasons, and is really fun. Also, Twin Star Exorcists- 1 season old 52 episodes. Super fun, beautiful anime. I’d love to see Tsukimichi make asap, with the 2nd season coming!

Just in case you don’t fully understand Subaru’s anger towards Edchina regarding Beatrice, put yourself in her shoes and you’ll get it. Pay attention to the wordings Edchina used and you’ll see she was being intentionally misleading with her word choice. By the way she talked, Beatrice would assume that her job is to wait in the forbidden library until someone comes and claim to be “that person”. However, there is NO “that person” to begin with. So she’s practically waiting for someone that will never come. So, while This whole contract thing to Beatrice is an important promise she made with someone you could call her “mother”, to Edchina it’s just an experiment to see when Beatrice would eventually give up and decide to choose anyone to be “that person” or if she just keeps waiting for eternity. That’s seriously very evil of her to do so if you ask me.

Hmm Luke I did a little summary. Till now you watched + are currently watching 34 animes in total - 7 movies / 27 series. Out of these are 23 animes from Fantasy/supernatural genre. ...but this is Re:Zero. For every valley, there is a peak. For every question, there is an answer... SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 13 AHEAD! Of course, the answers aren't always in the anime, so we're here to help. You're going to need a crash course in a little touched upon subject known as Witch Factors. So, a Witch Factor is never really explained as to how they're formed or what conditions need to be meet to obtain one. What we do know is that there is only one factor per sin. We'll start with one we know about already. The Sloth Witch Factor was held by three people we know about, one of whom you haven't really heard much about so I won't spoil, but the other two are Sekmet, the Witch of Sloth (the one who was lying down last episode) and Petelguese Romani Conti. It would be best to think of the Witch Factors as having a kind of sentience in regard to how they seek out a host, but they don't seem to possess a mind, per say. They look for a "compatable" host. What makes a host compatable is anybody's guess, but it seems to have something to do with disposition perhaps? It's complicated with such limited info, but here we go. Once a Witch Factor finds a host, the host will become empowered with an "Authority." You might recall Petelguese talking about his Authority; Unseen Hand. This is a power that is greater than a Divine Blessing (another thing that's been talked about a bit), which is bestowed by the gods of this world and more than one person can have a blessing. We've met a lot of people who have Divine Blessings: Reinhard is the one who really shines because he has several. He's OP as fuck, but he's also a tragic character because of it; forever superior to his peers and, by all metrics, indestructable. Other people are: Felt, Divine Protection of Wind (gives her speed, agility, etc.), but her protection is different than Crush's Divine Protection of Wind (sword attacks at a distance, the ability to detect lies, etc), and Patrache (our beloved ground dragon). Back to Authorities, Petelguese and Sekmet both held the Sloth Witch Factor, but there is only one in the world at any time. Don't ask how Sekmet was able to use her Authority in Echidna's Palace of Dreams (she flattened Minerva next episode... hoping you saw that before reading this), but that was her ability. Now, you might be remembering that Echidna mentioned that Subaru became the new host for the Sloth Witch Factor (the Chidna-tea was what she used to help Subaru adapt to it, lest his soul be torn to shreds by it). Subaru doesn't seem to have any special abilities because of it, but it becomes relevant later in this season, so bear that in mind. *deep breath* SATELLA AND THE WITCH OF ENVY - Gods, this is going to really confuse you because it confuses everybody. Satella is still alive, trapped in a prison designed by the Great Dragon, Volcanica, the Sage (name deliberately omitted), and the first Sword Saint, Reed Astria. If that last one's name sounds familiar, it's because he is Reinhard's great great great something something ancestor, the first one to be bestowed with the Divine Protection of the Sword Saint. In THAT rare case, there is only one Divine Protection of the Sword Saint and it is passed down to Reed's descendents, Reinhard being the current one. When Satella took on the Envy Witch Factor, it... fucked her up. Badly. She was NOT compatable with it, but that doesn't mean that she could reject it once instilled. What happened instead was something that is described as being akin to another personality, making Satella and The Witch of Envy two separate beings that inhabit the same body... kinda... it's fucking confusing. The reason I bring this up is because you're probably curious about how all the other witches reacted to her and treated her while she was in Echidna's Palace of Dreams... something Echidna would not have expected her to be able to get into, hence her angry reaction this episode (12) and her comments at the beginning of next episode (13, yes I'm being redundant. Apologies). The witches have a very different relationship with Satella than they do with the Witch of Envy, so they handled her VERY CAUTIOUSLY! If you remember the end of this episode, they each had different reactions to the newcomer to the Witch's Tea Party: Carmilla was scared as hell, Sekmet lamented a troublesome girl coming at a troublesome time to stir up some trouble, Minerva simply acknowledged her and showed deferrence, Daphne said she was "very very hungry [recall Daphne's interaction with Subaru when they first met: This might be dangerous for (me), you have a smell that I just absolutely love. It makes (me) want to eat (Subaru)], and Typhon seemed kinda happy and greeted her warmly, "Hey, it's 'Tella! Long time no see!" They did this because they didn't know who was actually showing up. It was possible that it was a girl they knew named Satella (mixed feelings all around about her), or it was the Witch of Envy (the one who killed all of them and destroyed half the world... kinda, again kinda an unknown for everyone except the author, there are lots of hints, but nothing definitive yet). Here's an important detail: Both Satella and The Witch of Envy ARE IN LOVE WITH SUBARU! Shared emotions? Two halves of the same coin? Two different people who feel the same way? Who knows? NOW onto the question that never really gets answered, but gets alluded to: When Subaru dies, does an alternate world continue on without him, leaving people he cares about behind? Answer: Unknown, but Satella (yes, it's debatable how the split personality thing works here, I think both personalities are aware of what's going on, but I really couldn't tell you for sure) said that people will mourn when Subaru dies. But, and I say this with a bag of salt, there is a theory that this isn't the case because of the notion of many universes. Some have speculated that the Witch of Envy would never tolerate losing her beloved Subaru to another Witch of Envy in another time-line, so everything that happens is as Subaru initially thought: He goes back in time, rewrites history, then progresses forward without anyone dying or people mourning him... This episode made him reconsider that notion because of the Trial and because of how Satella (I'm really thinking that it was Satella the whole time, but again, can't say for certain) talked to him about loving himself. The one person in the whole world who shares in Subaru's Return by Death is the one person who holds the Envy Witch Factor which allows Subaru to Return by Death. Satella watches every time Subaru dies. Every. TIME! Oh, and because you might have forgotten and maybe some people have pointed it out, I'll remind you about the second Witch's Tea Party and how The Witch of Envy possessed Emilia and went on a rampage... and yes, I'm pretty sure that was not Satella, but the Witch of Envy because she was OBSESSED, destroying everything in her path and making a beeline toward Roswall Mansion to kill everyone there Subaru loved. WItch Factors are going to become a very important fact in the show from here on out. Technically, they already were important, but you're going to see some things about them that aren't really explained very well in the anime. Hopefully, this crash course will help clear up some of that confusion. Just keep remembering... ...but this is Re:Zero, where the swing between good and bad, happiness and sorrow, light and dark, becomes greater and greater each episode. Sadly, what doesn't happen in the anime is a clear explanation of certain things, Witch Factors being just one. Don't worry yourself too much. It's very dense story with a lot of mysterious elements in it, which is why it's as fucking good as it is! I've watched it several times, read the light novels (kinda, audio translations actually) and rumaged around the Wiki. There's just so much going on in the background and it doesn't help that a lot of us weebs argue non-stop about it. Most of what I posted has been confirmed in one way or another by the author, and what wasn't confirmed I do add the disclaimer that I'm just a fan, so... yeah.

Haikyu!! would be an absolute banger to react to next! A lot of people are initially put off by the fact that they aren't sure whether they would enjoy a sports anime (myself included). But imho it is one of the best animes out there. The amount of feelings and hype it builds up is easily on par with some of the big names (like AOT, JJK, etc.) for me.

Sorry to be that guy and keep talking (long winded jerk, I know. SORRY, NOT SORRY), but another thing about Witch Factors you should know: THEY DON'T WORK THE SAME WAY IN EVERYBODY! An example I'll give is Daphne again: Her Authority allowed her to create life in the form of Witchbeasts, or as we have come to know them, mabeasts. Lye Bakentatos (you might recall the guy with the swords attached to his wrists first episode? Ate Crush's memories and Ram's name? Ring a bell?) cannot create mabeasts with the Authority of Gluttony, but can do what... I just... mentioned. I really need to proofread my shit before posting. Sorry again. So, while Sekmet and Petelguese both held the Sloth Witch Factor, they both had different power levels and different applications. There are similarities and nuances in thier case (both could use a power to clutch, pound, rip, etc, without having to move. A useful power for someone lazy, yes? Kinda makes sense that way, but Sekmet was a hell of a lot stronger than Peteguese ever was). The other Authorities are similar. The Authority of Greed was held by Echidna and, you briefly met him too, Regulas Corneas, the Sin Archbishop of Greed. Those two have very different powers relating to Greed, but it does kind of make sense when it gets explained... which should happen next season. We hope. *sigh* Did I mention it's confusing as hell? Yeah, I am hoping it's a little less confusing for you, but if anything else, I hope you know that you are not alone in your speculations about this show. Fan theories fly all over the fucking place on Reddit, so you could try to find out... but it will probably leave you even more confused. Okay, I shut up now. The witches in the dream castle are NOT the witches killed by the witch of envy. They are outside time manipulation in the castle. They retain their authorities and witch factor. This should be very obvious: They all died in specific ways that did not involve Satella (Minerva being possibly an exception), yet the witches are known to have been all killed by Satella and their witch factors taken. Satela isn't dead and has all the dead witches factors. There are even 2 Echidnas shown, the "older" one sealed in the coffin, and the "younger" one in the castle of dreams. The author has explicitly referred to the 2 as different people. There are probably more than 1 witch factor/authority of each type in the world. The gluttony bishops all have a gluttony authority too. The 1 witch factor per sin is just a fan theory. The factors and authorities have never been properly explained and there is enaugh conflicting information to not be certain. What is certain is that the exact same Authority, not witch factor, cannot exist but 2 different same sin authorities can. Unless you split rather than share a witch factor, then authorities work... Yeah it's a bit convoluted.

Like someone has already said, consider adding Mob Psycho 100 to the poll. It has amazing animation, amazing quality of art, weird but amazing and realistically written characters, amazing fights, weird but amazing humour, weird but amazing story. All around it's an underrated masterpiece. It is also already complete and relatively short with 3 seasons (around 36 episodes).

Yuuup. I really hated the second part of the first season and that's where 90% of people dropped the show, but on God, everything afterwards is just peak. I understand why some people don't want to make the time investment, there's this meme that goes something like "Bro, watch One Piece, I swear, it gets good after episode 121" and SAO has the same thing but for episodes 13-24 where it indeed is garbage (though gets 5% better with each episode), but if you power through those 12 episodes, you're left with such a god damn good show afterwards, ESPECIALLY during and post Alicization

But if the multiple universe really happened, how does anyone apart from subaru know of his story? Echidna should not know anything before the trial happened. @Rick James my man, everyone will hate you in this fandom for saying what you said. Its the nature of this community that they like luke's content and that's why people have paid to be on this patreon post. That said, i kinda agree with you. I will also get called out lol. Luke's reactions were good when he was a new anime reactor. People liked watching him shocked to see how good anime can be and its not kids cartoon or anything. But he always had this habit of talking and being distracted, often not paying attention to some very impactful scenes. The biggest deal breaker for me was Kaguya Sama Finale where he was very distracted and completely missed it when kaguya made her move. After that incident I never went back to twitch livestreams. Im here for a while for the Monday, Wednesday, Saturday reactions but Im not sure how long I will stay Im kinda done. Im not saying Luke is doing anything wrong I think he has lost his initial appeal and its becoming another one of those reaction channels where they just say a bunch of stuff about how crazy the show, episode was. to please the fandom.

Ascendance of a Bookworm would be a good show to add to the polls. It's most similar to what was appealing in Dr. Stone, and the world building is some of the best I've seen. It's got a slight dark edge to it, but it will always keep you smiling and entertained.
