Can't believe it's ending already, time flies too fast 😔

mjaomjao2

Solo Leveling comes out on January 7.

Matthew Valentine

You are correct. Fake geto was the one that caused the situation for itadori to become sukunas vessel in the first place.

Tyjutsuu

Don’t worry bro I read the manga and I still don’t know what’s going on… I forgot 😂😂👍🏽 for shame

Michael

That girl who woke up was Fushiguro’s sister, it said her name on the wall but you missed it or forgot about her.

Matthew Valentine

Inumaki just got caught in the crossfire of sukunas domain, it wasn’t known until this episode

Orieng

This is one of the most confusing season endings i have ever seen. I was more clueless then Luke xD think i have to rewatch the whole season.

Baker

Yaga is the principal of the school, the girl in the bed was Megumi's sister who's basically now been made into a vessel by Fake Geto and the reason why Gojo is now enemy of state is the higher ups have always hated him and they have the perfect excuse to keep him trapped. Also Inumaki lost his arm during Sukuna's rampage when he used his domain (it was implied but never fully shown) but the higher ups spun this so they could use Yuta's personal connection to Inumaki from 0 to get him to off Yuji, who they've been wanting to get rid of since he consumed the first finger way back. Basically now that Gojo is gone, the world is fucked, the higher ups can condemn Gojo and his associates and Fake Geto has started his ultimate plan. Yuta is also one of the few characters that Gojo has said in the past has the potential one day to be as strong as he is, he's no joke. It's basically going to be protag vs protag

Juan Contreras

About the love hotel( i watch a guy doing interviews to Japanese woman ) and all but 1 were ok with their significan other to cheat as long they didn’t love the other woman and it was just for fun

Lucian

So to try to explain a few things you didnt quite understand: - Tsumiki Fushiguro (Megumi's sister) is now awake, due to Fake Geto unleashing Idle Transfiguration - Masamichi Yaga is the principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High (the one who had puppets things in S1) - (someone correct me if im wrong) In the JJK0 movie, Yuta created Rika (the cursed spirit), and he also put Rika Orimoto (the little girl) soul into this cursed spirit. At the final, he freed Rika Orimoto's soul from the cursed spirit but Rika still remained (idk if i explained it well lol)

Mokinata

Nobody's mentioned this one yet but Larue (who Yuki mentioned she was trying to buy time for) is the buff blonde shirtless pasties guy from (real) Geto's former followers. No idea why Yuki is waiting on him but eh

Shiwa chan

Masamichi Yaga , he was the Principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High .

Vinegar

Yeah this is a complete loss for the sorcerers. Many characters died, and they didn't achieve a single one of their goals going into this, they didn't stop the incident from happening, they couldn't recover Gojo, Jujutsu society has been exposed to the public, and pseudo-geto and sukuna received no punishment for the genocide they caused

mjaomjao2

Love hotels are for having sex in, doesn't have to be an affair it could just be with your partner or a prostitute or something. You could also use them like a normal hotel room. Also if you remember from the backstory episodes in the beginning, the reason that Fushiguro (Megumi's dad) didn't kill Geto was because all the Curses he had collected would automatically be released if he died, so killing him would have done the opposite if you're trying to prevent the curses from being released.

Anonymous

Yuki and Yuta just showing up at the very end and not doing anything was kind of disappointing. Can’t wait for season 3, though!

Arcade'owy Łowca

well, it is "Rika", but its not the Rika "Rika", if that makes sense.

Yami Youssouf

i think in general yuki was buying time for yuta to get there, but no one knew about the curses and geto dipped after he did the curses cause he basically won at that point

"Him and Yuji are going to be best friends" ... 5 mins later

Juan Contreras

My favorite part in this season is nobara dying it was out of no where completely different from other anime’s with a trio team

Anonymous

That lady with the mark on her head was Fushis sister he mentioned towards the end of season 1, shes been in a coma due to an unknown curse, faux geto said here she was one of those he marked. And while yeah japan is in a state of chaos but the "zombie apocalypse" scenario is currently only a thing in the wards surrounding Shibuya, and yagas the principle of the tokyo juju high

Philipp Bognar

a really good next Anime would be Classroom of the Elite with the new Season dropping in January

Nathan

Hey, no relation but you should react to "Hikaru toki" by Hitsuji bungaku (same band on this JJK ending). You can watch the opening of Heike Monogatari (pretty good anime) and then check out the full version of the song. You'll like it for sure, it would fit perfectly in a movie like Your name or Weathering with you

Animeter

Here's how I understood it: Geto planned all of this in advance, Mahito's "Idle Transfiguration" evolved so much during the fight with Yuji that Geto, after absorbing him, was able to reshape the brains of thousands of people to give them curse energy and turned them into "evil Yujis". He also broke the seal of Fushiguro's sister.

Polotoph

The higher ups hate Gojo because he also hates them and because of his power he does what he wants, so now with everything that happened in Shibuya and being sealed, the higher ups are doing what they want, blaming Gojo, Yaga for being his master and using Yuta who was stable under Gojo's command. Inumaki's arm was also cut off when Sukuna expanded his cutting domain, he was unable to escape in time.

Alma

In episode 12 this season when Mei Mei came face to face with "Geto" her initial thought was that Geto was alive because Gojo and him allied. It now seems like the higher ups reached that same conclusion. Remember, Geto was sentenced to death 11 years ago. Gojo could have taken him out himself at any given moment, but never did. He let Geto live. He only finished him off less than 1 year ago when Geto was already dying after his fight with Yuta, as seen in jjk0. However, "Geto" walking around, seemingly alive, after Gojo supposedly killed him, seems fishy. It's not far fetched that the higher ups would think that Gojo helped Geto stage his death, thus making Gojo an accomplice to the Shibuya incident. We know that's not true, but see how easy it is to twist the narrative to make it fit? Gojo and Geto were attatched at the hip, they were best friends who did everything together and EVERYONE knew this, which is why, in their minds, them working together for all these years, makes a lot of sense. Especially considering even after their falling out, none of them made a move on the other. It looks very suspicious from an outside perspective.

Jhoan Gomez

Basically what Geto did was released a million of curses in Tokyo, plus created a lot of new sorcerers out of civillians plus brought back sorcerers from the past using recipients, all of this to create a new era similar to that of Heian Era, the golden age of jujutsu (this objective is only what we know so far). Tokyo became wasteland but the rest of Japan is all right for now, at the end we see the results resumed from Jujustu Sorcerers perspective, the 5 notes at the end are the statements from the higher ups in Jujutsu society, now that Gojo is gone, they took advantage of that to appoint him as a traitor and order execution to his comrades such as Yaga & Yuji, we have been shown in the seres many times that Gojo does not get along with the other clans

Orieng

But how did he release so many? and why not just do it from the beginning? He talked about Mahito but i did not understand that part?

Anonymous

Gonna help explain some things for those who may not know: Gojo reported he killed Geto after his fight with Yuta, which he did. However he was taken over by the brain and 'revived' They now know Geto lived, but the higher ups, who hate Gojo, blame him, saying it is still the actual Geto, and thus Gojo must've betrayed society. the brain released 10 mil spirits, but most people are calm cause they are focused around the centre of Japan, so a lot of people are alright still, and they can't actually see the spirits, so just assume some kind of natural disaster. Inumaki's arms were cut off by Sukuna during Malevolent shrine but it was never shown, Yuta is kinda just lying a little. Speaking of, the real Rika did disapear, but she left behind her 'will' to protect him. And she acts as an extension of his technique and extra storage for CE. The same is for the thing around Yuki, it's called Garuda and can funnel her technique. Which I won't say what it is since thats spoilers :) But yeah, next season gonna go crazy lol

Frentzy

Idk why ppl hype solo leveling. If it's not gonna be god tier animation then it'll end up as a 7/10 or 8/10 as an anime. Story can't carry, only animation can. The story in JJK S2 is: "people die, curses win, gojo is trapped". There is no story per say. It's mainly action, which means animation has to 'carry' the story. It's the same for solo leveling. PS: the animation for solo leveling will be above average, but above average can't do its justice.

Revian Garyzta

Luke, my man, a lot of your "I don't understaaaaaaaand!!!!!!" is just because you expect to know the answers before the mystery is even presented, let storytelling do it's thing, you are not stupid you just freak out too soon. Relax and enjoy ignorance or rely on us because this show is only going to get waaaaaay more messed up.

Malik Ford

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REACT TO VINLAND SAGA NOW

ArtKi

Love hotels. They have rooms you can rent BY THE HOUR so you have a private place to have sex with someone. Some of them are fancy with luxurious rooms. A common comedic trope in anime is for somebody to rent a room in one without knowing what it is.

JonJon's Kooky Quest

Spoiler free for Luke: Geto/Brain said he made pacts with sorcerers and curses across 1000 years that he would bring them back to life essentially. The people that he gave cursed objects can be vessels of these old sorcerers like Yuji is the vessel for Sukuna. The rest of the people he awakened were like Junpei from season 1 where they were born with a cursed technique BUT they were born with a non-sorcerer brain so they aren’t able to use that technique. He changed these people’s brains to make them into sorcerers so that they can use the techniques they were born with (just like how Mahito did to Junpei). Also, the girl they showed waking up in the hospital is Megumi Fushiguro’s sister that he’s been trying to save from a curse that’s put her in a coma. Geto/Brain’s explanation paired with the scene of her waking up is explaining that Geto/Brain is the reason Megumi’s sister was in a coma. She’s one of the people he’s been messing with in order to awaken them with Mahito’s power. The people are calm because they don’t know all of the death is happening at this point, the jujutsu society and the government were most likely trying to hide everything at first. You’re right, the hole is getting bigger as the cursed spirits that Geto/Brain released are moving outward from where they were released. Yuta is Special Grade still. It’s only been about a year or under because he joined the first year class with Maki and them. Now, those students are second years. Rika did leave at the end of the movie, but I saw someone comment elsewhere that the Rika being back thing is explained later. It’s possible the thing following Yuki around (the dragon looking thing) is something that she can summon sort of like Megumi summons shikigami. It’s possible Sukuna cut off inumaki’s arms off screen and they’re blaming Yuji OR the higher ups are just lying to make Yuta want to kill Yuji. This is the first scene of anyone mentioning/showing Inumaki’s arms were cut off so you didn’t miss anything prior to this scene. Remember Gojo doesn’t like the higher ups AND the higher ups don’t like him so this is them being fine with him staying imprisoned and out of their way. Yaga is the principal of one of the Jujutsu schools (the one that let Yuji in that makes the cursed dolls like Panda). Before becoming principal he was Gojo and Geto’s teacher, so the higher ups are using that to blame him for the incident/eliminate him also. The clap at the end is just for Yuji to draw the attention of the curses in the area. The scene of them just standing there I think is also just a product of the anime padding to fill out a full episode time or trying to make some scenes more cinematic (like with Nobara just standing there for a long time when Mahito ran at her). It actually happened quicker in the manga. In the manga Nobara was touched instantly after getting down the stairs and in the manga I think Geto releases the curses all at once, says his lines, and leaves immediately before anyone can try to attack. They just added more scenes of the curses popping up from the ground around them and them looking around and twiddling their thumbs lol.

JonJon's Kooky Quest

Also, before anyone accuses me of spoiling anything. Yes, I have read the manga BUT only up to a couple of chapters after the Shibuya incident, so I don’t actually know the answers to some of these things and I’m saying “it’s a possibility” at the parts where they are guesses that I’m doing blind without any supporting info we would’ve already seen in the anime.

Cédric Michaud

He basically made Mahito fight Yuji to make Mahito's technique evolve then extract Mahito's technique with Uzumaki(Maelstrom or Spirals). Because when he extract the technique from a curse with Uzumaki he said in this episode that the technique can no longer evolve. So making Mahito fight with Yuji was a way to make Idle Transfiguration (Mahito's technique) evolve a lot.

Abe J

"Rika being back thing is explained later." phew, cause I was like... umm wtf. Not that i wasn't happy to see that duo again if it is real.

Abe J

Absolutely agree with this. There are MANY times when I end up "getting it" after watching someone else watch it. It's so easy to miss stuff, especially when trying to read everything and watch at the same time.

Abe J

.. I'm having Maki withdraws.. I wont keep my hopes up but my fingers are crossed she is alive! It would be a meh way to go out. Same with Nobara, though I'm more confident on that one. (no spoilers plz MANGA peeps)

Barry

Yea, he ain't stupid but his style of reacting is getting worse and worse. I'm personally done but hope he improves again cos he was pretty good before.

Barry

Gonna reiterate this. I express disappointment a lot with your reactions. This is because I think you were good and could again be good, so best of luck and I'll check back in a few weeks!

Jonesy

does luke know that some of these shows can be really hard to understand. i often need atleast 1 rewatch to properly get most of whats going on in these episodes but he keeps going on about being stupid for not getting it

Yula

You forgot a lot characters and i wonder how you’ll do if you start watching Naruto or Bleach or One Piece. Animes that are more than 100 episodes. Anyways i still like watching you remember things. The wheels in your head moving trying to connect things. 😆

Toasterfinal5

I am seriously considering reading the manga. After this season.

Bryan Wells

Popping in to recommend Overlord as the next youtube anime watch along.

Bryan Wells

Overlord for the win!

keniskandar

My favorite part of this season—Choso. All his fighting scenes and him saying that he’s Yuji’s older brother 💕

Eduardoff

Overlord for the win

Anonymous

7/10 would still be worth watching. I don't know why people put down anything that could be considered lower than 9-10/10.

Malik Ford

I don’t even know wtf that is lol Vinland Saga for the win 🥇

Brandon Guzman

Yuki didnt attack Geto because it was a complete 50/50 on who would win and it’s better for them to have an alive useless special grade than a dead one

Yoru

Just a heads up there is a slight translation error, it’s not both of Inumaki’s arms, it’s just his left arm that he lost.

JonJon's Kooky Quest

This^ like the big post I made is after watching it three times in a row (watching with Luke being the third). They dropped a lot of stuff this episode, and it’s meant to be chaotic. I also see people dunking on reactors all over for not remembering Yuki (or even reactors dunking on themselves for not remembering her) but she had like TWO SCENES before this! Not even because one is just her showing up for 5 seconds. Edit: ALSO, I read the manga chapters for this episode a few weeks ago (caved after one of the fights and needed to know what happened), and I DID NOT catch most of the things that I explained in that big post until the second time I watched the episode. I was like oh wait oh wait that flew over my head whoops

Amberyootoob

Jujutsu Council: Todo kill Itadori Yuji Todo: how about I kill you instead

Abe J

Really? I hadn't noticed a difference in style. Like what? The only thing that bothers me is the names thing (just write them down for fuck sake). Anything else seems theatrical, like the "I don't understand!!" shtick.

Alderanex

I am bad with names too, not that bad though ;-). Your reaction was fun anyway, thanks, here’s to s3. You have time to catch up with Frieren now?!? Now to round it up, you still have not watched The First Take video of the JJK s2 ending (no. 385, more than words by hitsujibungaku), Would anybody here kindly help recommend it to him? It cannot be that I am the only one who likes it, can it?

Nikki C

Yup, I finished this episode and right away went to find somewhere to read the manga!

EACB

Ok, others have explained it, but I'd like to give my take on everything. Warning, wall of text incoming. What Fake!Geto is aiming for is creating a "survival of the fittest" situation for cursed spirits and cursed users/sorcerers. The tool he is using for this is Chaos. How is he creating Chaos? Well, he has been working on it for a long time. During the last 1000+ years at least, he's been making two kinds of cursed pacts: with sorcerers, turning them into cursed objects to be revived later, and with spirits, sealing them to be unleashed at a later date. All of this tied to that knot he was carrying. In recent times, he's been searching out and marking two kinds of people: 1. People to serve as vessels for the sorcerer's he turned into cursed objects, which he had them eat. These people were not yet compatible with the cursed objects, and would have probably died the moment the seal was undone. 2. People who were born with cursed techniques, but their brains weren't wired to use them, so they were essentially just regular people who might be able to see curses. The people he marked would sometimes fall into comas, because they couldn't handle the cursed energy placed on them. As revealed here, Fushiguro Tsumiki(megumi's sister) was one of these people. Last episode, he extracted Mahito's techinque, Idle Transfiguration, which allows him to modify the souls and bodies of people he touches. Then, through the markings he placed, he "touched" the souls of all the people he had marked; he modified the vessels to be compatible with teh cursed objects inside of them, and he re-wired the brains of the potential sorcerers, granting them techniques. This was the main reason he wanted to absorb Mahito Then he undid the knot he had, effectively resurrecting the ancient sorcerers in the bodies of the people who consumed them, and unleashing the millions of cursed spirits he had sealed. Therefore, 3 new groups have been unleashed upon modern Japan, mainly in Tokyo: the dozens/hundreds of ancient powerful sorcerersfrom history, the millions of cursed spirits, presumably of pretty high grades, and the fledglings sorcerers who have no clue how their abilities work. He intedns to have all these people, plus all the modern sorcerers, to fight and kill each other, thus evolving their cursed techniques to a higher level. Thus, Chaos. Yuki (blond special-grade girl) didn't outright attack him because Geto was strong, and Fake!Geto is an unknown who probably is even stronger. Plus, Uraume (ice person) was there, and they had already been shown to be at least first-grade level. Yuki was being cautious and trying to get them to reveal more about their plan. She didn't expect him to unleash Hell on Earth that very moment. Then we see the aftermath. There are blackouts throughout half of Tokyo(the 23 wards comment) and the cursed spirits unleashed on Shibuya are spreading out, thus the cursed energy intefering with electronics causing the blackouts. The Prime Minister is missing (probably curse-chow by now) and the remaining politicians are struggling to figure out what to do without revealing the existence of cursed spirits. It was stated early on in the series that cursed spirits are born from humans' negative emotions, like fear and hate, and that if people knew about them, those very negative emotions would increase to the level that would cause the societal collapse of Japan. The politicians then decide to reveal their existence but claim they only appear in Tokyo, thus concentrating the populace's negative emotions upon Tokyo itself, minimizng the spread of cursed spirits to the rest of Japan. Essentially, they're giving up on the city of Tokyo, their capital, the most densely populated city int he world, with over 14 million people, to try and salvage the rest of Japan. We then see Yuta Okkotsu ("the guy" from the movie) who seems to be still accompanied by Rika, even though Rika Orimoto's soul went to the afterlife at the end of the movie. He seem to be intent on killing Yuji, as Sukuna cut off Inumaki's arm. We didn't see this, but it presumably happened at some point in Sukuna's fight with Mahoraga. Now, how are the higher-ups of Jujutsu society handling all this? Let's see: 1. Geto Suguru is alive and his execution notice is reinstated. Either the higher ups don't know about Fake!Geto, or the explanation that Gojo didnt kill Geto in the movie is simpler and more convenient. 2. Gojo Satoru is an accomplice of Geto, is considered responsible in aprt for the Shibuya Incident, and is to remain sealed, attempting to free him is a crime. The higher-ups have always hated Gojo, he's always opposed their conservative and hard-handed views and methos, so claimng he "spared" Geto and is his accomplice works better for them. 3.Yaga is considered responsible for icniting Gojo and Geto, and is sentenced to death. Yaga (the principal with the suglasses) always supported Gojo, and he would definitely try and free him, so executing him gets him out of their way. 4. Yuji is to be executed. They always wanted to do this, Gojo is no longer here to stop them, and after Shibuya, it's outright understandable. 5. Yuta is his executioner. Not much to say here. Yuta is a special-grade, and Yuki is technically not allied with Jujutsu High, so Yuta is the only one they can appoint who could potentially give Sukuna a fight if he comes out. That's pretty much it for now, but I'll leave you something to ponder about one of ypur theories there. You asked if Fake!geto could have made Yuji into a vessel. Well, Choso does seem to be convinced that Yuji is somehow related to Fake!Geto, so amybe there's something there to consider. Sorry for the long-ass wall of text.

Markus Wallin

My thoughts of "this has at least quite a few similarities with Berserk" did not go away in the slightest this episode.

draggo

I'm going to try and give a brief explanation to some key points - refer to others' comments for a more thorough explanation: Gojo was blamed because the higher-ups hate Gojo and his interference, and want to keep him gone, and that's all there is to it as far as I know. I don't think we saw "whisper guy" Inumaki's arms get cut off, we're just finding out now. If it was there it wasn't the focus of the scene and you probably needed a quick eye to catch it. You remember correctly. The movie ended with Yuta Okkotsu freeing Rika's soul, and thus ending the curse that resulted from the death of his childhood friend Rika. I imagine we'll get more of an explanation next season. (Edits for clarity)

Fidel

This didn't feel like a final episode it felt more like a trailer for next season.

Stefan

I expected an worse ending, it didn’t left you with a very big cliffhanger l, at least it explained jujutsu’a decisions. Go go Yuta! Favourite part was Todo’s Gurren Lagann moment 🤣🤣

Kieran O’Neil

probably gonna be a 3 year wait for the the next episode ;(

Kyle Garrett

Did not expect Yuta to become Yuji's enemy. I spent this entire season hoping Yuta would show up to save the day, but now he's come as a villain. A part of me wants him to meet Yuji, realize he's not bad, and work with him... but if he actually ended up making a pact about killing Yuji then that just can't happen. I don't want Yuta or Yuji to die, so that's a stressful situation. Also the fact Megumi's sister woke from her Coma and either has powers or a super human body like Yuji's, is interesting! I wonder if she'll become one of their allies in S3, or another enemy if fake Geto messed with their minds.

Amélie Tarrier

A lot of people died because of sukuna and yuji's existance, evryone would want to execute him should not be seing as a villain in my opinion, Yuta wants to protect his friends to and inumaki lost his arm because of sukuna I'm sure he's pissed
