If we're looking for a short, very funny anime to gain some time until Dr. Stone is fully out I strongly suggest to watch Grand Blue. I think it is finally time we introduce to you this masterpiece

Sumic

I'm also still waiting for bocchi the rock, 12 eps

Okay, I'm sorry but I gotta say this. Your chat and maybe you a little, need to chill a bit with the sexist comments. Women watch too and it just feels like y'all are a bit too objectifying which brings me and I'm sure others out of the moment. An action scene has people lying in awkward positions but you don't comment on the guys from what I've seen of this anime, and it's a little disheartening to see the chat go along with it... I love watching you and this anime and series, and there are moments the artists emphasize too much but then there are just normal scenes for an anime and it's supposed to be showing off how badass a character is but you just focus on their appearance...

lol someone has to chill

The illustrator for Dr Stone used to draw porn. The anime definitely sexualizes the characters on purpose, even during the action scenes. Plus I really don't think pointing out when you find a cartoon character sexy can be considered sexist. Obviously Luke isn't often pointing out the men cause he's not attracted to them as much. He def still points out the men sometimes too though.

Not to mention when women are portrayed as bad-asses but not sexualized nearly as much, Luke talks about how cool they are as well. Examples that pop into mind are Mikasa, Yor, Homura, Frieren... and that's just in the current stuff he's been watching right now. Dr. Stone though does have a much more obvious habit of drawing it's female characters in more explicit looking ways that yes, is going to get the attention of guys who are interested in that. Nothing wrong with that, but if it's not to your taste, then watch something else.

If these were real people or if it wasn't the author's intention to sexualize them, I'd agree with you, but the fact is both are the case. If the purpose of art is to evoke certain feelings, then a person not feeling such things would mean the artist failed at their job. If Luke is finding sexy characters sexy, then the artist has done their job. And sure, Luke doesn't really mention the macho men as much (though he has pointed it out several times), but different strokes for different folks. Some people might find Mantle to be their type. Who can say...

I noticed some ppl mentioning in the chat that Hyoga should have just let go of the spear to avoid the taser and beat them both up. That's not what would have happened. Without his spear, Hyoga is literally nothing. And it took all of his power, just to avoid losing his spear to Tsukasa while trying to get away. If he had let gone, Tsukasa would have had more than enough strength left to break the spear, get up and give Hygoa his deserved beating. So the better option was trying to grab the spear from Tsukasa before Senku reaches him. But ultimately, he failed.

Aiko

Yes, I'm aware of the artists, that's why I stated that there are times when the they do emphasize, however my point is not that he considers characters sexy, to each their own. We all can understand that. It's the "impaling" or "maybe she wants it" kind of jokes that can take someone out of the moment-rewinding and pausing to point it out. And just because a character is sexualized to some for a scene, doesn't mean everyone sees it that way. I get it's reacting, but sometimes a bit much, that's all.

Chizi

I love his videos but he's burning it too much cause EVERYTIME he stops to say something like that. At this point if you follow the story, we all know that the illustrator was a hentai artist. But that doesn't matter, cause you're all just justifiying your dirty minds. Plus, is nasty and boring repetitive.

gotgames

I would just like to say, I am married, these are all comments made out of fun and light hearted. And I would also like to say, I do mention the men just as much. When men are shown in the same light, which is more rare, so is mentioned on a more rare scale. But in moments where it is clear that the scene is supposed to showcases something sexualised, I will point it out. If a character is showcasing being badass, smart, or anything, I will point it out the same way. I think Dr.Stone has a lot more of these kind of scenes that are randomly placed then other anime, which is why they are mentioned more. As a reactor, I will react to the scene as it is presented. Much love my friend.

2023-11-07 05:39:47 Yeah that is something some people fail to consider. Hyoga was only freak levels with his unique spear, forget the name of it's style. He was in great shape, but Tsukasa was in Olympian shape on his own and a freak of nature on top of that. After all even people built like Tsukasa don't just casually punch lions to death or throw trees, those kinds of acts are reserved for Tsukasa, and in more peaceful examples Taiju. Only the absolute freaks.

I have advice for you Luke ,please dont hate some character anymore Because you always ended like them in the end xD lol 1st Gen 2nd Ukyo and now Tsukasa XD And after you like them ,they always got some serious injury lol

I love how once Tsukasa became a "good guy" his facial expressions in the surgery scene looked villainous, and when he was a "bad guy" his facial expressions looked like what you would normally see from typical "good guys".

Movie time !!!!

Christine Copeland aka Christine's Culinary Quest

speaking of one piece have you thought of watching the one piece live action on netflix? It's a much more condensed version of the story. Fans could let you know any anime episodes with important plot that it skips in condensing the plot.

it's like I was frustrated by women sexualizing characters like Nanami, Toji, and other male characters in JJK, it makes no sense especially when the characters are drawn in situations that could serve this selling purpose.

2:22:16 Basically Honkai Impact 3rd in a nutshell

sulfuric adic + nitric acid gives you aqua regia. Gold is notoriously difficult to decompose. that's why gold arifacts thousands of years old are still recoverable. Aqua regia is a mixture that is actually able to dissolve gold. It was the most dangerous chemical I've ever worked with. but if you get it on you clothes you have about 1 minute to get it off. if it gets on your skin you have less than 10 seconds to get into the safety shower, or you're gonna start losing skin.

Tom Boggess

uh how do you get from nitric acid to trinitrotoluene? i mean nitric acid can get you there, but you have to have toluene and plantium first.

Tom Boggess

anyone else think it kinda odd that his sister is named Mirai (future)

Chris Gama

I kinda wondered though that while Tsukasa was fighting ever since he was a small boy to try to save his sister who was brain dead, why did he age to high-school age teen, yet before the petrification, Mirai didn't grow? Even if you're braindead, your body still ages, right? She should have been a teen too, they looked close in age in the flashback (maybe one or two years difference, not sure which one is the older sibling though)

HGK

I have no experience with this but from my Google search. Petroleummm... Hmm, yea I got no experience. Idek what am I saying. It only show something to do with Petroleum, Platinum, Toluene to make 2,4,6-Trinitrotoluene and I just found out TNT real name.

HGK

Idk what to say. If that's your reason maybe you need to avoid watching reaction video about a show with potential sexist comment for example this anime, Highschool DxD(The extreme one) and maybe Tensura. Boys will be boys. We just don't say it out loud sometimes.

Aiko

That's an awful counter, but maybe just avoid replying then. And thank you Luke for the response, I definitely don't support over sexualization of guys, girls or anything in betweeen, so that wasn't my main issue. I know you're a good guy though, or at least seem like it to me, I value others' perspectives as long as it's not an attack so thank you to those as well. Of course, I still watch, just wanted to state my opinion as someone who's had consequences from toxic actions stemming from opinions and statements of nonconsensual nature.
