I agree with you, Luke. Seiyuu (voice actors) singing the OP/ED was HUGE in the 80's/90's, then anime took off and larger production companies found themselves able to afford popular artists/up-and-coming artists in the 00's/10's. It was also a lot of extra work for the VAs to try and fit songs into the laundry list of tracks they had to record. One of my favorite VAs is Megumi Hayashibara, she was part of a good chunk of the anime coming out for a good 20 year span, and recorded a LOT of music. She was going to be a nurse and gave it up to become a VA.

I will always recommend Interspecies Reviewers, since despite being NSFW it is a really great show and probably my favorite comedy anime.

I thought you would never touch interspecies reviewers. That's like the cheekiest of cheekiest. If you handled well both the op and ed you can watch literally any other ecchi anime ops/eds.

So we're all voting for Interspecies Reviewers as a patreon exclusive right? One thing about that show that will always get a laugh from me, is when Funimation got the rights to it, started dubbing, realized what they just got their hands on, and immediately abandoned it haha.

I watched the Dumbells anime while it was airing and it was fun! It's actually an anime about people doing exercises lol the op is one of the most view op on YouTube so dunno who told you it was under appreciated lol Recommendation: Tsurune op and ends!!

So, a couple of fun facts about Interspecies Reviewers: When it was airing in Japan, the original network that was showing it actually took it off the air cuz it was simply too raunchy for them, so they had to get picked up by another network. You know the bit in the OP where it shows a bunch of girls in a big bed and it pans over them, but all the bits are covered? Yeah, in the uncensored, everything is on full display, not even any pixelation or anything. Funimation has picked it up for dubbing, but after around episode 3 they just cancelled the dub cuz they also didn't expect how raunchy it would get. Now, some people complained about that, saying they should have looked up the manga beforehand, but here's the thing... The anime WENT HARDER THAN THE MANGA! Yeah, that's right, the anime actually did original scenes for some of the brothels that the manga just kinda glossed over, the anime went into a lot more detail haha xD And lastly: when the anime was announced, a bunch of hentai artists got together and made their own compilation manga where they basically made original scenes that were actually just outright porn, and honestly, it was a lot of fun xD It's called "Interspecies Reviewers Comic Anthology: Darkness" in case anyone feels like giving it a look.
